Ive seen Gullit play in the flesh MANY times, he played for my team - one of the best players to wear a Chelsea shirt no doubt, one of the best players I've ever seen but NOWHERE NEAR the level of Maradona (nobody was).
In the professional football field the entire matches are saying completely the opposite, my dear friend Total massacre by Gullit, always !
Entire matches? Like I pointed out I have seen, in the flesh MANY of Gullits matches. We can all post video clips to 'bend a story the way we want - take a look at this:- Some of these goals are incredible you might think he was the greatest player in history but he isn't - don't get me wrong there is no doubting that Le Tissier was an exceptional footballer - perhaps only bettered by Gascoigne for the 'best' English player in MY lifetime but he was nowhere near Maradona (nobody was). Like I pointed out though there was a lot of great players from before my time players I'm not in a position to judge but I am old enough to have been around in the 80's and 90's and I am telling you that Maradona is the best player I've ever seen.
...... .. .. One positive point for Maradona: that he holds the record for most fouls suffered by a Player in History of the Football . ... .. shows that the opponent is really worried about him all the time...per 90 minutes played ...doing man-marking ...tighter -marking on him and He can decide matches with goals, assists and pre-assists in somehow .
yes Ac Milan 4 vs ... 1 Napoli Ac Milan ..3 vs ..2 ..Napoli ....... 1988 january and may .... 1990-1991 Napoli .......1 vs ........1 ....... Ac Milan ......... Ac MIlan .....4 ...vs... 1 ;............ Ac Milan........ but in general also ... Maradona was very very unremarkable and lacked consistency during the whole seasons ... so many many Ups and Downs ..... "! I don't like players like that.
yes in parts yes maybe by World Cup 1986 and Coppa-Italia 1986-1987 ...season ..here Diego was Insane at all on my own eyes ! but i choose others at overall performances on the Field . !
Maybe we should let somebody who actually played against him tell us why he was the greatest:- He was perhaps the greatest player the world has EVER seen but he has been undoubtedly the greatest player in MY lifetime.
Generally players overestimate each other. the players they played with or against them from every age . "! They only highlight the positive aspects of both of their careers. completely biased and contaminated opinions .
Are you seriously suggesting we are to believe Big Soccer posters who weren't even born when he played over Maradona's actual opponents!? I don't think so somehow
Do you really believe that Puyol the defender from Barcelona from Spain would tell the truth about Ronaldinho Gaucho's completely lackluster and timid performance in the Final... Fifa Club World Cup against Inter Brazil in 2006??? They lick each other's boots.
You calling Gary Lineker a liar now? You are not putting up much of an argument are you? Fact is I am old enough to have seen Maradona play (admittedly I never saw him play in the flesh) and I have seen Gullit, Zidane, Messi, Ronaldo et al all play in the flesh and NONE of them were on Maradona's level. Nobody in my lifetime has been.
one example this .........] the defender Stam ....... He said that Bergkamp and Van Nistelrooy were the best Dutch players in history. simply ignored Cruyff, Gullit, and Van Basten speaking with no respect whatsoever for them and idolizing Bergkamp
Bootlicking the bloke that cheated him out of the World Cup? Erm.........OK, perhaps you have something to back up this ludicrous claim? No? Thought not! So anyway in response to the poster that asked me, the fact is Maradona has been, by far, the best player I've ever seen play in my lifetime - I am not in a position to comment on Pele or Mathews etc.
yes....He is at Top-20 of possible choices yes ............ between ....80's ... until .........2026 . !
—————————— ————————— ————————- The biggest myth in the history of football is that Diego Maradona dragged Napoli to the 1986/87 scudetto.
First of all, What criteria were used to arrive at these note grades? Did they really watch all the matches in Full mode???
