Nah, I don't think the Crew did anything wrong. It was simply a matter of giving a disproportionate share of games to the Crew after building the SSS. Kind of a thank you and reward for doing so. Now they're going back to spreading the wealth around a little. Once the Home Depot Center is completed, I'd expect the "rent a condo" line to be apt for SoCal for a while. In the same vein, the Revs got MLS Cup 2002 because of their new stadium. That's just how it goes, and I think rewarding organizations for building stadia is a good thing. Rest assured, the USMNT will be back in Columbus in the future. They're just spreading the love around the rest of the US presently. If/when the Metros Harrison stadium goes up, it'll likewise be the golden child choice for everything for a short while. -Tron

I completely agree with puttputt here. It is obvious that if the USMNT needs a definite home crowd advantage, in an environment (read: cold weather that our CONCACAF opponents may not be very comfy with), Columbus will be on the short list.
