Two years ago the Men's National team could have saved money by leasing Condos in Dublin, they were in CCS so much.

All of a sudden we don't seem to be in the mix at all.

Did we offend someone? Say something rude to il Bruce? Spill beer on Dr Bob's brogans?

We're in the mix. Not confirmed, though.

There's a home crew game the day before. It'd be nice to move one or the other (hopefully US). OTOH, that may not happen since there'd be a better chance of putting the US game on TV if it didn't move. But hey, i'll go to CCS two days straight.

Nah, I don't think the Crew did anything wrong. It was simply a matter of giving a disproportionate share of games to the Crew after building the SSS. Kind of a thank you and reward for doing so. Now they're going back to spreading the wealth around a little. Once the Home Depot Center is completed, I'd expect the "rent a condo" line to be apt for SoCal for a while. In the same vein, the Revs got MLS Cup 2002 because of their new stadium. That's just how it goes, and I think rewarding organizations for building stadia is a good thing.

Rest assured, the USMNT will be back in Columbus in the future. They're just spreading the love around the rest of the US presently. If/when the Metros Harrison stadium goes up, it'll likewise be the golden child choice for everything for a short while.

Friendlies are solely to make money. When they want a home advantage for something important they will return to Columbus.

I completely agree with puttputt here. It is obvious that if the USMNT needs a definite home crowd advantage, in an environment (read: cold weather that our CONCACAF opponents may not be very comfy with), Columbus will be on the short list.

it might just be best if kenny arena stays at home.

mathis was trying not to kick kenny in the head during training. he went up for a shot, saw kenny, changed in mid-air, landed awkwardly, and tore his ACL.
