I haven't read any player interviews that the game in Houston against Mexico was like an away game; what I've read seem to say how the US fans were strong. If anyone that went to the game could give me some kind of an idea as to what the overall feel was, I'd appreciate it.

And btw, I'm sure its in the post-game thread but I didn't feel like wading through 18 pages to look for it ;)

I did catch this from Bruce -

"Who can complain about 69,000 people that are friendly." http://tinyurl.com/bzeh

Wow.... who would have thought that we would play in Houston and have a homer crowd... I'm not sure that in my lifetime I ever expected that

But then, in the same article, Eddie Pope says it was like playing an away game:

“I think that is always difficult to play in a so called home vinyard, but the crowd is for the other team. In some cities that we play in we can get a pro-American crowd, but most of the time it is an anti-American crowd. I’m used to it by now. I’ve done it since ’96.”
