Absolutely! This team has not been the same since TA retired. Granted, he didn't play in that many games his last seson, but his presence on the squad made a huge difference.

I think Sol has an opportunity to become that type of leader, but that remaims to be seen.

Speaking of Sol, it would have been nice to have him out there today. Damn F.A!

    Looking towards Cardiff!

Having lived through the 1996 collapse, I can honestly say you lot equaled Newcastle's choke job that year in the Premiership after being out in front by a solid margin in January.

Hey CrewToon, thanks for the salt in the wound there. 'Preciate that, buddy.

I can't say I'm gutted though...we've had too many little slip ups the last month that I saw this one coming. Meanwhile ManUre completely demolished Charlton. We're heading in opposite directions at just the wrong time.

Yet, the thought of the evil dark lord at Old Truffle putting his mitts on the trophy does gut me. Completely.

Arsenal tripped on their own feet in March... and never got back up.

The only thing that will console me now is a nice, shiny FA Cup, and a strong title run next season. GO GUNNERS!

    Gooner,

I only mentioned it because I can't forget the Toon's choke job in 1996, when the club actually bought into Sir Arselex Sheep Boy's psycho-babble. (assuming anyone other than residents of Aberdeen or Wales understand a word he says).

Are you mad? He looked every bit a toothless boy wonder or should I say blunder? He did run around alot, but, was completely ineffective. In case you didn't notice he also made an apalling soft pass to a Leeds player. You should remember it, it was the one that resulted in Viduka putting the nails in our coffin!

I don't blame the lad for the defeat; that was a group effort, but, once again he made a translucent mark when opportunity knocked!

    Enh, I'm not too bothered.

I came to terms with this last weekend and the few weeks prior. Deep down I knew we'd lost it. I've been trying to be positive and hopefull but deep down I knew we'd lost it already.

Forgive me for saying so but even if we did win the FA Cup it would seem a hollow victory. Sort of a consolation prize when I'd rather have nothing. Maybe if we'd at least done ourselves proud and taken it to the final day which is all I was hoping for but this............this just.......I'm at a loss for words.

Too true, I can't bare the thought of all the MUFC ass kissing (in the media) we'll have to put up with about them clawing back a huge deficit. Please, we gifted this to them, they didn't win the title Arsenal lost it, simple as that.

They hit a good run of form just when the other top five clubs bottled it and lost the plot and they snuck through. They've done it before, we shouldn't have been surprised really.

I'm just pissed at the Arsenal players. Last year they did themselves, the club and their fans proud, they truly were champions. This year, and by that I mean this calendar year, they have been second rate, far from worthy champions.

I wouldn't have wanted them to lurch to the championship. If you can't win it in style like last year than don't win it at all.

It just sucks that we had to gift it to that bunch of cretins from Manchester, them of all people, jesus christ..........

Speaking of MUFC ass kissing. I taped the MAnU game on Saturday while I was at work and planned to watch it Monday morning , my day off. Since the Arsenal game was not televised I thought I could at least route for the Addicks. On Monday morning I watch sportscenter and they actually put the Mancs on plays of the week. Had Arsenal won there would be no Plays of the week. So the bastards screwed up my morning and kissed Manc ass.

Crewtoon, your right in your assessment. The Gunners were firmly in command and gave it away a la Newcastle

Thank god I don't watch Sportscenter anymore. I'm shocked that they didn't get the girl from "Bend it Like Beckham" on to talk about it.

I did take solace in one thing this morning. Last season, both USA Today and The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette made mention of Arsenal capturing the title. After scanning both papers this morning in my efforts to help Webmaster Andrew, neither paper mentioned anything about ManUre. At least they won't get any press in this town!

Let's get on to next year. And will someone PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!! shoot Pennant in the face!! Win the Cup, focus on next year and Ferguson can sod off. That's the way I see it. We could have done SO much better, but there's no point in focusing on the past. Oh, Tony, where have you gone? The end of this year brings memories of boring, boring Arsenal from the days of old. Let's take it all next year (that's right, laet's have a Quad!) and then b*tch slap fergie right back to where he belongs. From now until we either win or the possibility is eliminated, my tag line will be "Nothing but the Quad!"

    Vive le AFC!
