Does anyone know where I can find a 1998 USA Men's National Team Jersey? The jersey I'm describing is the one worn for the 98 World Cup in France. The road version was red with a narrow blue/white horizontal stripe on the upper chest, back, and collar. Made by Nike, the swoosh was sewn on the wearers right chest with the National Team USA Soccer logo sewn on the left chest. I have been looking for one of these for some time now. A men's medium in red. All my shirts from 98 are either rags or don't fit me anymore.

You know what sucks is that we should wear Red to Nats games, but they haven't had a red US jersey in years.
Didn't they have a blue one too. I saw a guy at Disneyworld with a blue one but it might have beed washed with something blue.
I believe you are right. They wore the blue rarely and only in 98 WC qualifying if I recall. They looked good. These jerseys had the horizontal stripe on chest and back and were the sharpest looking I think. I'm partial because I was in France in 98 during the WC. It was cool spotting other Americans wearing the red with the stripes. Easy to pick out in a crowd.
hmmm... I think I saw this on Ebay a while ago. I thought it was the '97/'98 WC qual jersey but wasn;t sure. Was outbid anyway,.... I want it in XL as well......
If I'm not mistaken, the red with the horizontal stripe across the chest is vintage '94. I've got a red '98. It's got white and blue trim, but no horizontal stripe across the chest. (Not for sale. Sorry.)
Yeah, post 'em please. If mine's not the '98, what the hell is it? It's the red one WITHOUT the stripe! You know, it's got blue and white trim around the V-neck and the bottom edge of each sleeve. There's a Nike swoosh embroidered on the right chest, US Soccer badge on left. Says Dri-Fit on one of the sleeves. What is it?
Sounds like 00-02. What was worn in qualifying for Korea. That is what I am guessing from the 'v-neck' description. That jersey is the only one I can think of to have that type of neck and be red.
I got one off of ebay last summer for $20. Keep checking there because they tend to show up on occassion. On the other hand, I am looking for the white jersey used in qualifying for wc 02.
They had a red short sleeved warm up jersey in 98. They had a blue long sleeved warm up as well (I have that one). The red one was a V neck and had stripes down the side, IIRC.

Well I have a Red XL 1998 World Cup Jersey with the White/Blue Stripe across the chest and upper back. Oh and I also have the XL Blue Shorts with the White Trim. Got lucky with those since you couldn't find them in stores at the time. I was in Florida at the Nike Factory Outlet store in Kissimmiee on Hwy 192. Got very lucky when they got them. I was passing by the front window till I saw them on the rack with all their soccer stuff. I quickly ran in, tried them out and bought them. Oh. Sorry folks. Not selling. Sorry
