Hello friends! (from Sweeper33 aka Scott) This Sunday evening, Oct 24, a TV series that I have been working on will premiere. The show title is The Wandering Golfer and it runs on Fine Living Network. Fine Living is a cable/satellite network that is owned by Scripps, the people who do Food Network and Home & Garden TV (HGTV) If your provider carries Fine Living it is usually near those two channels. In Arlington it is channel 232 on DirecTV. The show is travel/golf related and is entertaining for the whole family. The premise is that the network picked one lucky guy to have the dream job of a lifetime - to host a TV show and play the greatest golf courses in America and the world. I'm the Director of Photography, or cameraman, on all of the episodes and we shoot exclusively in High Definition video, although you do NOT need a hi def TV to watch the show! The one hour special "Searching for the Wandering Golfer" starts at 8pm CST and the 30 minute series, featuring Torrey Pines, follows at 9pm. We've shot 6 of the 13 episodes (including a two week shoot in Scotland last month!) and the series will continue throughout the winter/spring season. So tune in to Fine Living Network at 8pm CST this Sunday night, Oct 24, to catch The Wandering Golfer! Mods, thanks for tolerating a GOLF message on Big soccer.
I took it up because I was looking for a reason to drive a battery powered cart and drink beer for 4 hours at a time.
There is an article in today's Fort Worth Star Telegram about the Wandering Golfer. It is in the Sport section pg.2.
