I've been watching "The Wrong Trousers" over and over lately (thanks to my 2 yr old passionate Wallace & Grommit fan). At end, Wallace is reading a newspaper whose back page headline reads "GOAL-DEN BOYS".

I believe "The Den" is a reference to Millwall's stadium. Is "GOAL-DEN BOYS" then in fact a reference to Millwall FC?

I do know Wallace is a fan of Preston North End.

It sounds like typical British taboid's "find the most obvious pun possible" style of headline writing, rather than a reference to specific players. I could be wrong, of course.
