Watched Jonny Walker play a friendly on TV Chile tonight against River Plate (channel 625 on DISH which is included in the Latino sports package). Did well and stopped a few nice shots. Unfortunately they lost in the last couple minutes of the game after a one on one he couldn't stop. The first goal against Walker looked pretty nice too and was in the upper left.

Colo Colo scored first on a little chip shot and looked solid against River... Both teams played most of their normal starters.

I heard it was a good game. Santiago papers are saying nice things about Walker and his saves.

Saw the match and thought River controlled most of the game. In the first half Cola Cola missed a few opportunities to score but nothing like the River onslaught. During the second half, Cola Cola was again dominated by River and breakdowns in the Cola Cola defense lead to both goals. Walker did well to hold River scoreless during the first half and was taken advantage of in the second by the Cola Cola defensive breakdowns.

Colo Colo vs Boca Juniors (R)

No talk here about Johnny Walker's play in the Copa Libertadores? His Colo Colo team played a good game in Buenos Aires against Boca Juniors. They fell behind to two quick Boca goals but fought back and got the tie. Walker played a good match and made several key saves. But the tie combiend with other results in the group eliminated Colo Colo from passing onto the next round of the Copa.

Walker may not be as good as either Friedel or Keller but he's at the same level as the better MLS goalies.

It's too bad they're eliminated. I saw the match on tv and Walker did do a nice job tending goal... A tie for Colo Colo at Boca Juniors in La Bombanera stadium was a good result. It's unfortunate that Indep. of Med. beat Barcelona and stopped Colo Colo's chances of continuing in the tournament.

Walker continues to play against these big teams, do well, and gain a ton of experience. Hope to see him called up to the National team sometime soon... He deserves the chance.

I saw most of this match, and Walker made some saves. But they were not a quality sufficient for me to really compare him to the top MLS keepers as MERENGUE asserts. (none like the show Kevin Hartman put on Saturday for example).

Have not heard much about him recently. Jonny Walker that is. Is there a break in the Chilian league at this point in time.

On another note, What is going on with David Regis. He could be a decent addition to the MLS.
