Who watched on Saturday? I overslept so if someone can fill me in with a quick recap and ratings. I'm especially concerned about potential injuries to Gallas and GLS, and how Zenden fared on his return. Thanks.
I'm not sure I can give you ratings, but here are a few thoughts.... 1st Half Zola and Frankie should have both scored...Frank had a great chance at the top of the box on a layoff from Jimmy and hit it to the left isde of the goal. The keeper went the other way but somehow it hit him in the foot. It was still 0-0 then. Stanic had a late in the half header cleared off the line. 2nd Half was horrible. Didn't even seem like the same game. Zenden didn't factor, nor did fat boy EG. Boro's goal was superb, but the only chance of the day. Hey we've won games we shouldn't have, so I can't complain...
Here you go MST Middlesbrough vs Chelsea FOX Sports World (US) We Dec 18 8pm ET/5pm PT (4-day delay) If you want to watch it yourself. (i was a Big Blue listener...wife still having fits over the last Direct-TV bill)
thank you much I may have to visit the sister and brother in law to impose this week. Hey Clan, you wouldn't know who to contact to try and resuscitate the thread with all of Monkee's predictions on them would you? I feel pretty bad that I didn't take them all down but blindly assumed that they would still be there this week. Failing that do you have his email? I guess the worst case scenario is throw out his picks or trust him to repost them when he returns, hoping he never checked during his holiday.
mst77, as I told you before they are unfortunately gone. Your only hope is to go into the options of your web browser... tell it to work offline and then search through your history Maybe you can find them that way. The Owners of this site are extremely diappointed with the event that occurred. Hopefuly Monkee saved his picks, I'm sure he can be trusted.....
Latest is that all the walking wounded have reported fit. squad from Carlo Cudicini, Ed de Goey, Mario Melchiot, William Gallas, Marcel Desailly, John Terry, Graeme Le Saux, Albert Ferrer, Jesper Gronkjaer, Quique De Lucas, Frank Lampard, Emmanuel Petit, Jody Morris, Mario Stanic, Boudewijn Zenden, Gianfranco Zola, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Eidur Gudjohnsen, Robert Huth and Filipe Oliveira.
If you put Forssell, Cole and Evans/Pidgeley in that squad and it may be the strongest 23 in the EPL. A bit light in CM and RB but very solid with quality subs at every position.
Sorry MST, but i don't have his e-mail addy. I'll bet he would post them as he originally did before he went away though, when he comes back. If you're going to ask others if thats okay then my answer is a yes.
Zenden Did very little in his limited amount of time. First game back though. I thought Terry and Lamps were our best players
Re: Zenden Oh how this would be said for years to come. Apologies for bumping this, it's late and I am suffering from a messed up sleep schedule but I jut found this prophetic. Or it could be my mind acting all wonky.
mst77 good poster. Shame he isnt around anymore. One of the old schoolers from the soccernet days who found a new home on this site. Good lad all around.
when I first saw the thread I thought he was back but then I noticed the date. This place gets more like soccernet every day
