    wake 3 akron 1

wake goes down 1-0 in the 2nd minute off a corner.
Wake comes back with 3 goals....Corben Bone gets 2 & an assist.

The freshman defender for Wake, Ike Opara, looked strong getting his second start in a row. He is very raw, but talented and incredibly athletic. Hopefully the injury he picked up wasn't anything serious. With the all the injuries to the backline Wake went so far a dropping Cronin back to play some CB.

    UNC 3 Akron 0

Akron seemed pretty tired from Friday night game + with the heat. Was a different effort from Akron. UNC finally figured out how to score some goals.

    Wake 3 Bradley 0

Bradley held on as long as they could. They played with 2 deep sweepers and had alot of man marking in front of the sweepers which is a little unusual.

Corben Bone's college career is living up to the hype he came in with as the nation's top recruit. Four goals and two assists in the first four games, all W's.

Bradley always plays with 2 sweepers if the offense doesn't send enough attackers. Bradley kept Wake off the board for 60 minutes or so. They gave up 2 goals (number 2 and 3) within 2 minutes. After that they were dejected and done. Not that I planned it this way, but I've seen 3 of their 4 games this year. I won't be keeping up that ratio.

Akron lost a player to a red card (2 yellows) right after HT. Even then, UNC had the run of play in the 1st.

His stats are nice. But the way he plays is amazing. He'll just move a little and freeze people. Wow! is said alot.
