Here's the list of waived players: Alfonso Loera (Chivas USA) Ryan Suarez (Chivas USA) Eugene Sepuya (Colorado Rapids) Mamadou Diallo (MetroStars) Gilberto Flores (MetroStars) Cassio (New England Revolution) Felix Brillant (New England Revolution) Noah Palmer (Real Salt Lake) Marlon Rojas (Real Salt Lake) Think any of them would be an upgrade for us at any position? Suarez, perhaps? Brillant as a direct replacement for Naldo? I'm surprised at Gilberto Flores being dropped, since I always thought he was a pretty good d-mid, but we don't need him since we've already got Nagamura and Vagenas in the middle.
Suarez was waived?? In any case, I'd take Mamadou Diallo over Naldo anyday. Of course, I also think Suarez would be a better striker than Naldo as well. Hell, I'd put Rongen out on the field in place of Naldo if I was coach. Which I ain't. Diallo = 52 shots and 11 goals (2002). If any of our players had that ratio, we'd have scored about 40 goals by now. 20%. That's almost as good as Shaq at the free-throw line.
The Mamadou Diallo who was just waived is NOT Big Mama, and is completely unrelated. Big Mama is currently playing (or rather, sitting on a bench) in the Malaysian league. The guy that the Metrostars just waived is a 5'4" right back (does that make him "Little Mama"???). Of course, I'd probably still play him at striker over Naldo... There are apparently at least three professional soccer players named Mamadou Diallo... another one starts in midfield for Nantes, but he's from Mali, not Senegal.
You must be doing some California dreamin' (You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to TrickHog again.)
How do you know all this stuff. Dammmm... very impressive. And, who's Big Mama Cass?? (kiddin, I'm just old enough to know)
