Another waiver date has been set. Feb. 21 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern. Draft to be on Feb. 24. Interesting that each team has to cut down to 16. So I guess that means the active rosters really are going to be 16 players. Full details here: http://www.wusa.com/press_room/342552.html
Is it safe to assume that the 16 does NOT included the recently drafted players? If it does, most drafted players would be waived before even setting foot on the training pitch and render the draft as a pretty pointless endeavor (esp after the first round).
My understanding was that after the draft, a waiver date was set for 2/7 (and obviously that didn't happen). Anyhoo all teams were suppose to trim their rosters down to 18 WHICH DIDN'T INCLUDE THE DRAFTEES in anticipation of a waiver draft on 2/11. I am assuming this is still the same case but now it's down to 16 players.
