I'm a fan of the Wildcats, mainly because a niece is a player, but the ticket prices have jumped for the '06 season to $10 a game and $95 for season pass (7 regular and 3 exhibition games) up from $6 and $35 (7 games) respectively. Wow! That getting pricey for a family. Its cheaper to go the Trenton Thunder AA down Rt. 1. Naimo better charm alot of Nat'l players to come to NJ this year! Maybe, if Vince Baldino is thinking of getting a franchise of a new pro league, this is the price the fans are going to have to pay.
I think the prices you are quoting are from 2003, I am pretty sure the prices were 9 dollars for a ticket last year, and no shirt was included with the season ticket. I do see where this does not make it a great night out when you can go to the Movies for less. I do think that they will have some fan favorite players that will make the prices seem OK. Of course, if every game is a blowout, it makes for some boring soccer.
You have to realize that the caliber of player now playing with the Cats is a lot better than a few years ago when the team was near the bottom of the league table. Mind you, watching Eileen Blair stopping shots was something to behold -- the time she had something like 48 saves against Long Island in a driving rainstorm at Mercer County Park, for example. Also standing out in my mind's eye were Krissy Jeremiah, Dana DeCore, and Deborah McWhinnie. Tremendous athletes, tremendous people.
