VW FCA... "The sea was angry that day my friends, like an old man trying to send back soup at a deli...." I say Alam Syamsir. By doing nothing on the field to contribute to this dismal mess he has done the most positive work all season long.

GOTY... It shouldn't be limited to league play so I can vote for Neal's goal in the US Open Cup Final. Not the best goal, but it was the most important. Besides, the only other option is Own Goal this season.

I can't get editing to work, so I will say it in a second comment...

I contemplated just adding this to the Gallows Humor Thread because it could fit very well, so feel free to attach it there if need be.

I would back a protest vote here; but not Alam. Alam has more twitter followers than anyone else on the team, because of the whole Indonesian followers-from-afar thing. Alam winning would be interpreted incorrectly. Instead, I'd go for someone like Casey Townsend.

I was going to suggest one of the own goals, actually.

I could back that choice. Now that I think of it, Alam's twitter following might bag him the prize regardless of anything we do.

Voted for Pajoy - there must have been a reason Ben played him so much. Quickly - were any of the goals scored in winning efforts? I don't want to vote for a GOTY candidate that took place in a losing match.

No no no, whoever you vote for, don't vote for Pajoy; you don't want to be the straw that makes the camel's back decide to keep him after all.

Yes because a real accomplishment would be a back-to-back US Open Cup Winning/Wooden Spoon winning team.

Going to pick DeRo's goal in the 1-1 tie against Toronto. The first and last candidates are in multi-goal losses.

Voted for Seton, though about Dykstra for throwing the USOC game against but then realized that it could have saved Kasper's job so he could be LVP ;)

I beg you not to vote for Pajoy, even as an irony vote. He's the only United player I've heard booed by our fans in our stadium by people other than my wife. I hate that we came to that.

Now, I wanna write in Boskovic. :D

Can you remember how it wasn't just a great goal, it also felt like hope...I can remember there was such a thing as hope, I just don't remember what it feels like.

Yeah, it seems like HOPE was ages ago, in more ways than one...

I voted for Willis because he didn't do anything to piss me off this year. Or if he did, I was drunk and don't remember.

He shaved that Hipster beard off. Could be a plus, could be a minus.

    Thx,

I voted for Kitchen. Didn't miss a game (until this weekend) and soldiered on as the season unraveled. The other two choices were Thorrington and Neal, but they both mised substantial time this season, so Kitchen it was.

shit was rigged.... Pajoy and Alam were leading the vote with ~22% of the vote each and Perry was in third with ~14%. Everybody else had just a few percent... they then hid the results of the poll and then picked somebody not named Pajoy or Alam.

Note: neither of them deserved the award, but if you are going to let the fans vote... count our votes.
