OK, I'll start it. This is always the toughest of the grand tours for me to follow, because it occurs after my semester starts (I teach in college). Having said that, each year I want more and more to follow closely, so we'll see. I'm hoping for big things from one "squalo dello stretto." http://www.steephill.tv/vuelta-a-espana/ http://www.lavuelta.com/ http://velonews.competitor.com/category/vuelta-a-espana
This is the first Vuelta I will be following. From the things that I have read it is not held in as high regard as the other grand tours and is used as a warm up by some for the Worlds. Who do you think has a shot at winning? Is this more wide open in terms of who can win because of the major riders not making this their focus? Thanks for the education in advance.

Just messing around. I'm proud of the wee man his performance so far, though there was no catching Anton's crazy-ass burst of speed at the end of stage 4. Dayyyum.
Cav left early and took a bad line to the finish. I didn't see Renshaw either. It will be interesting to see how Garmin-Cervelo forms their team for the next TDF.
From ticker -Petacchi charges... -He holds it. Petacchi gets it! -Cavendish could simply NOT hold that wheel. -Farrar was moving up and looks like he got boxed in. -That was Haedo, who probabaly moved into Farrar's line, but no way that affected the final outcome. Petacchi had it in the bag. --------- 1. Alessandro Petacchi (Lampre) 4:36:12 2. Mark Cavendish (HTC-Columbia) 3. JJ Haedo (Saxo Bank) 4. Andreas Stauff (Quick Step) 5. Tyler Farrar (Garmin-Transitions), all same time.
Apparently the virus is pretty serious. I read that one of Team Sky's soigneurs is in a coma from it.
