2,000 tickets left for Saturday’s game MLS leading scorer coming to town MONTREAL – With three days before Major League Soccer’s leading scorer Chris Wondolowski and the San Jose Earthquakes come to town to face the Montreal Impact this Saturday at 7:30pm (ET), at Stade Saputo, the club announced on Wednesday that less than 2,000 tickets are left for the matchup. The Impact is currently fighting for a playoff spot, sitting just three points out of a spot in post-season. as it faces the top team in the Western Conference. http://www.impactmontreal.com/en/news/2012/08/2000-tickets-left-saturday’s-game
I'm not too confident about his one, of course, but at least we're playing at home. Let's hope they put Nesta on Wondolowski!
Oh man... Nesta and Mapp doubtful for saturdays game https://twitter.com/amandacstein/status/236158918928257024 If this is actually the case I'm starting to get angry... we NEED a healthy lineup to have a chance to compete.
Anyone know if Bernier will start? He got some quality minutes in Canada's match vs Trinidad and Tobago
Almost certainly. He was subbed early in the second half and should be pretty fresh. The earthquakes players who played USA vs MEX in Azteca will be here, Bernier should as well.
I'm kind of curious to see how SJ does it .. Lenhart seems to be having a good yr along with Wondo and Gordon. When TFC had Gordon, I thought he looked good, but of course TFC let him go for basically nothing because he wanted to play on the West coast. Just like they let Dero go because he wanted more money. ex-TFC Cronin starts for SJ as well .. I don't remember who they traded him for, but you can bet it was silly. Their management is imbecilic..
Montreal Impact – San Jose EarthquakesSaturday, August 18, 7:30 pm (ET)Stade Saputo, MontrealBroadcast: TVA Sports, CJAD 800Also available on: illico web, illico mobile, MLS Live Quebec – The Montreal Impact (10-13-3) look to make it four wins in a row when the Western Conference leading San Jose Earthquakes (14-5-5) come to town this Saturday, at 7:30pm (ET), at Stade Saputo. This will be the first ever matchup between these two clubs, and their only meeting of the 2012 season. The Impact is currently battling for a playoff spot and sits in sixth spot in the Eastern Conference, only three points behind D.C. United. http://www.impactmontreal.com/en/ne...es-san-jose-earthquakes-stade-saputo-saturday
In all fairness, most of San Jose's roster is made up of players other teams in the league gave up on. Steven Lenhart was a nobody in Columbus and Wondo was playing reserve league football with Houston. Frank Yallop has done a really good job turning Koolaid into wine- the real question is why did he suck so much as the Canadian NT manager?
My wife and I are in Montreal for the weekend and we want to go to the impact game tonight. I looked online and the only tickets are really expensive. Any thoughts on if we can pick up two from scalpers outside the stadium? Long time MLS fan who has been to almost all the stadiums across the US and Toronto and looking forward to experiencing a game at Stade Saputo.
I was gonna say SJ seems like the Tampa Bay Rays of soccer .. CMNT has had a problem no manager can solve.. Little money to support it. So little time spent together. Few friendlies. And an association which has been dysfunctional, where provinces fight amongst each other for the scraps.. Clubs reluctant to release players because they know Canada has the leverage of a worm. Players choosing other countries. Even now, look, Canada plays a friendly and it's not broadcast! Against T&T .. why, was Pitcairn Island busy ..
You mean not starting, or not available? I see neither Mapp nor Nyassi starting, but Nyassi is often used as a sub.
''MTL - Perkins; Iapichino, Ferrari, Camara, Brovsky; Neagle, Bernier, Warner, Felipe; Arnaud, Di Vaio Subs - Bush; Gardner, Ouimette, Thomas, Mallace, Ubiparipovic, Wenger'' Nope, no Nyassi, that sucks big time.
The MLS site is ridiculous, I remember they didn't list Nesta injured (they finally did a game later) and now no mention of this.. I can't rely on them. Get a load of this 'game guide' .. how useful is that, they got three players starting that won't be. http://www.keepandshare.com/doc/4458921/818mtlsj-mls-pdf-6-3-meg?da=y I'll be hoping Bernier doesn't get a yellow, he's suspended next one.
Argh, well I got my info from the Impact website, let's hope they're wrong. This is far from the ideal lineup to beat the best team in the league.
Ipiachino has made 3 mistakes in ..the first 6 minutes.. ok, I won't keep ragging him, but he makes me real nervous..
Lenhart elbows Camara in the nose, and Camara red .. oh Lenhart out too .. Lenhart was really throwing himself around, physical player .. poked Camara in the eye earlier. Won't miss Lenhart. he was trouble. Penalty tho. Wondo scores... Actualyl I don't know why the penalty kick.. lol
Everything that happened between Camara and Lenhardt was after the ball was out, the ref didnt see out. I really don't get the PK
