That wasn't an option. If you were referring to the Inter Toronto option that is miles different than International Toronto. I think I will vote for Toronto Internationals as a write in. I am sick and tired of these Euro rip offs.
If you can write in Toronton Internationals, then was it hard to figure out he wrote it International Toronto?
Toronto Who The Hell Cares They Are Going To Suck And Get Moved To The Midwest FC Try to get that on a jersey.
Well usually you wouldn't say you settled for a choice if you picked it. Think about it man. I think you are mistaken. The person I quoted said "I settled for International Toronto". Pretty ignorant if he had to settle for his own pick. If he wrote it in he would pick his absolute favorite not settle. You might want to try reading next time and thinking.
He can "settle" for his own pick quite easily. He looked at the other choices, maybe thought of other names to write in, and that SETTLED for international toronto. You're still wrong. Thanks.
Whatever man. We can argue about it all day, but only he can verify what he meant. I would never discribe my own pick as "settling". But whatever.
I am fine with that (not that it matters what I want). I just am really against the official name of the team being Inter Toronto. People can call the team whatever they want, but please no more official Euro rip offs.
EH? That's it. It's short, hip and Canadian. The quesiton mark gives it a new techonology/internet feeling....
My guess is the name will be something along the lines of the following: Mountain Dew Toronto Gaulioses Toronto Diet Coke Toronto Krispy Kreme (or would that be Tim Horton's?) Toronto
Boston Pizza Toronto Mr. Sub Toronto Do Canadians really think Boston is a good place to get pizza? Because they'd be way wrong, strange name for a pizza chain.
Nope. Neither is the chain that bears its name. Blame the westerners for coming up with such a stupid name. That's what I do (regardless of whether I'm right or not).
Will Inter Toronto trade a SuperDraft pick to Colorado for the rights to the jersey design and colors? And will this mean the next MLS expansion team will be JuvenTulsa?
Come on lets, call it what it really is going to be. the Canadian MNT. i really think toronto Reds, is much better than inter toronto. inter toronto does not come off as well (or sound as good) as inter milan so let drop that name. Good luck to the Toronto Reds.
There already is green to a certain extent. and it is worth noting that the Rapids switched to blue and black stripes from their original green kit because of poor merchandise sales. ISTR the Cosmos did something similar in the early 80s in the NASL switching from green to blue.
Latest from the Globe and Mail:- http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/LAC.20060429.SOCCER29/TPStory/?query=soccer makes it sound like Inter Toronto FC and Toronto FC are the main contenders.

In other words, the fan poll was a sham. If the results of said poll support the decision that MLSE had already made with regard to a name, the organization will trumpet them through through the media. If not, MLSE will still go with whatever name they see fit. Of course, what's to prevent MLSE from saying that their hand-picked choice for team name was the top vote-getter in the poll even if it wasn't? Answer: Absolutely nothing. How would fans be able to prove otherwise? The poll was a way to temporarily placate fans in the wake of opposition being voiced to the leaked Inter Toronto FC identity, as well as a means of generating a marketing and ticket sales contact list.
As long as we get the stadium and the team then the people putting up the money can decide the name without much in the way of complaint from me given that the alternative could be another decade of the Lynx playing at a small suburban high school athletics stadium with an almost zero mainstream media profile. There are much worse possibilities than Inter IMO although it certainly wouldn't have been my first choice. It's quite possible that some of the better options were complete non-starters for legal reasons related to merchandising.
