I'd go with the starting lineup that changed our season for the better in the final stretch...but what happened to our right backs - they disappeared by the end of the season... __________Reina___________ Arbs___Carra__Skrtel___Aurelio _____Alonso___Masch_______ Kuyt______Gerrard_____Babel __________Torres__________ Subs: Crouch, Hyypia, Lucas, Pennant, Yossi (who needs a 2nd keeper) I'm still not brave enough to say Gerrard is not our best midfielder but Masch certainly bested Alonso this season. The same goes for the best player contest with Stevie 1st, Torres 2nd, Masch 3rd - those guys must be kept around. Carra, for me, is still #1 defender and also counts as an indispensable (4th overall). I think Reina also gets in my top 5. Damn injuries this season - hope we're spared that next year. PS Kuyt should get a "special" mention as my favorite player I love to hate. He played a deciding role in many of our games late in the season...
Rather than put together a team, for me the best players this season have been; Sami, Torres, Masch and Gerrard. Everyone else have had there ups and downs which is to be expected but becomes kind of hard to put a team together.
Wasnt it with you that i had the benayoun conversation? and you thought he was one of the best outside mids in the world and i disagreed saying others like babel should be rated over him.

My comments were that Yossi was and is better than SWP...not that he is best in the world. If your going to attack me at least get it right.
After having a long conversation with grinners that benayoun is overrated, it is finally good to see that he finally agrees and puts babel over him (months later)
And bringing up a month-old conversation is totally relevant. I am sure I could bring up some stupid conversation I had with el-cap, usscouse, gandalf, ForeverRed, 26, LB, or Matt Clark a month ago, but then again I am not a loser.
Funny that back then, whenever Babel started a game he was anonymous, which is what influenced my opinion in 2007...GET OVER IT.
