View to a kill had Tanya Roberts, Grace Jones, the very odd Christopher Walken and a duran duran song. No contest, though, Octop$$y has some nice, um, squid in it.
Carole Bouquet! Later married to Gerard "Big Nose" Depardieu if I have my facts straight. She's the reason I voted for For Your Eyes Only in the poll. That and the spectacular cinematography in the Greek mountains.
Which one had the the black guy with the really deep laugh who did Cola commercials? In the movie he was some kind of voodoo priest.
Live and Let Die was a cool series of scenes without a plot. The extras on the DVD are really good. They show how the alligator jumping scene was actually done. The owner of the park (whose name was Kananga - this is where they got the metal-armed henchman's name) told the producers he could do the stunt. He had to do it 5 times, as he kept slipping because of the leather soled shoes. The alligators were ready the last time he did it, which is why you see them all open their mouths as Bond jumps on them - they were hoping for a snack. But they were tied down so they couldn't move a lot.
The Spy Who Loved Me. Moonraker would be the worst bond film ever if It wasn't for the extremly boring Lazenby one. After Moonraker I couldn't take Bond seriously until Dalton came in and took over for 2 films.
Man With the Golden Gun had some smoking hot women in it too, of course, that's what Bond films accomplish. Britt Ekland, Maud Adams and some superfly Asian chick in the pool scene. Not only that, it had the flying car!
The one where he slides down a stairway railing while shooting off the top of the railing to avoid getting his nuts crushed and the one where he's wearing a bear suit while kicking ass is my fav.
I always figured Moore to be perhaps the worst Bond ever.. he was too rigid, didn't quite have the right look, and just seemed wrong.
All the diehard Bond fans said the same thing about him. But for me, Moore was the James Bond I grew up with. I was too young to have read any of the original Bond books and to understand what a James Bond supposed to be liked. so Roger Moore was good enough for me. Timothy Dalton actually killed James Bond for me.... by Pierce Brosnan, I grew out of James Bond movies. I was more interested in Tom Clancy movies
For Your Eyes Only "For Your Eyes Only" because it was the closest in spirit to the Connery Bond's that the Moore ones ever got. I never accepted Moore as Bond, probably because I remembered him as The Saint from television as a kid. He'll always be Simon Templar to me, not James Bond.
That's kind of funny, because I grew up with Roger Moore as James Bond too, and when I see the old movies with Connery, all I can think is: this guy is totally wrong for the part!
