    Or... Antti Niemi.

    We yanks know a keeper's worth. Right, gang?

    There's a lot of the Brit fans voting for Brian on his 'heart' in the game... but it's Niemi who kept the team's head {barely} above water.

    Heart, or that fact that he also lead the team in scoring for the 2nd consecutive year... or both? Besides, IMO, it's like voting for the MVP of a last place team. Can you truely say there is an MVP? Fulham barely stayed off the relegation list... with a whopping TWO wins since December. God, I sure hope the Crew are never that wretched for a 4+ month stretch.

    Dempsey = 8 appearances with 1 goal.
    McBride = 37 appearance with 8 goals.

    Dempsey scores about 1 in 8
    McBride scores about 1 in 5

    Also, scoring one timely goal doesn't exactly qualify as "keeping them in the premier league." Every game they won or drew all season had just as much to do with keeping them up as the game against Liverpool.
