We've been to seven World Cups. 1930 1934 1950 1990 1994 1998 2002 Three have been in Europe 1934 1990 1998 In all those tournaments, we've sucked. Hard. All of our World Cup success has come outside of the old world. Our next World Cup (assuming we qualify) is in Europe yet again. There's been a lot of talk on these boards of going to the semifinals in 2006, but there's just one little hitch. We absolutley suck in Europe. We have to play as many European teams in the next 3 years as humanly possible. None of this CONCACAF every other match crap. Both of our losses in last years World Cup came against European opposition. Right now we are in a tournament in Europe. Surprise, we're on the brink of doing another 3 and out. IMO, it's time for Bruce to push for as many Euro-friendlies as possible.
