    For Fiorentina home match tickets...

    Hey guys, I am a bigsoccer friend of Falvo;

I also lived in Florence, only for a half year.

Best place for tickets is in Piazza Reppubica; Head past the Merry-Go-Round, go under the big column in the arcade with the marble flooring (Can't miss it) and make a left. Walk down, on your right hand side you will see a place to make bets, it is a little shop. In there is also a place for Fiorentina tickets! Very easy if you live in central firenze

    Hi guys!

Glad to find this thread. I am planning to be in Florence 20-23 Oct 2013, and looking at the fixtures just released, Fiorentina vs Juventus will be on 20 Oct!

So may I ask for a big match like that:

    1. Is it easier to purchase tickets online, if so, which websites are best and where would I pick the tickets up from?

    2. How far in advance before a match can I buy the tickets?

Thanks in advance and Forza Viola!!

    No, not online.

If it is Sunday match you can start the Monday leading up to it. Do so earliest and even though cheap tickets are closest to field the big glass barrier sucks so sit a bit above... The curva is cool too I've sat in the more low key one.

I think above we spoke where you can buy if not let me or falvo know

thanks Vulpinous for the speedy reply!
    and hello Nicky!

I think the earliest I can reach Florence will be on the Saturday 19 Oct. Will it be too late then to get tickets from the bars/shops?
Any suggestions how to secure tickets or maybe I need to start looking for locals who can help?

Depends what time you will have to hustle to get to the ticket hub before closing

so the concern is the closing time of the ticket hubs and not that the tickets will be sold out quickly since it is a big match?

Near the Palazzo Pitti, I ate a place called Trattoria la Casalinga! Best chicken I ever had. Be sure and eat there if you can. Its a little hole in the wall place but still has good food.

Wish I had better information, but back in 1999 - my only time in Florence. There was a restaurant about 2-3 blocks west of the train station. We got confused by the double addresses, so that made it hard to find, but when we found it, we FOUND IT!

The deal was about $10, we got a salad, anti-pasta, main course which was veal something or other, and a dessert. All we could drink of wine or coke. That's right - coke. My son, who was 10 probably drank a 2-liter by himself. The food was amazing, my kid wiped out his veal in a flash and he was and is a picky eater. $10!

The owner came out to check on us several times, was happy to see Americans at his restaurant, and of course I started talking Fiorentina with him in my Spatalian. If, when I go back, I will try and find the place again. I'm making myself hungry already.
