Is war the raison d'etre of the United States? You'll find some relevancies here: Praetorian Guard Since the dawn of the 20th century I don't believe the USA has NOT been involved in a war every 15 years. The birth of the American republic was a violent one, but no worse than that of France or Russia. What gives?
No kidding, those earthquakes and tornados can be a real pain. Don't even get me started on Hurricanes. Oh Stockwell, I've seen this guy speak before. He has been working the far left wing campus circuit since the late 1970s. Even the former Sandinistas said this guys was delusional. Nonetheless, he provided more than ample grist for the Anti-USA mill given his former CIA status. Take 1/4 of what he claims as true (except his "casualty numbers" which are pure crap), the rest is hyperbole. Note I did not say that 1/4 which remains is anything to be proud of but... Besides, we are more about getting rich and fat (not necessarily in that order ), having a greener lawn than our neighbors, and watching the 49ers versus Packers on the big screen TV we bought on credit.
Wow. You didn't use the "defending democracy" argument. Can't say I'm impressed. Plus, I'd take a small apartment and DC v. Metro on any screen any day.
The "defending democracy" feature is only available for Europe and the Korean Penninsula. Call our 800 number for further details. Ditto on that DC-Metroslime game.
