Question: I haven't followed i viola since Xmas but just curious to know how Luca Toni is doing? I see by wiki he played 24 games and scored 7 goals but is he a starter or a sub? Just curious...

Rarely even a sub anymore. Going with more mobile guys.

Too bad as I think he could still score if given more of a chance. I know he is older now so maybe he just can't keep up anymore.

I don't think it fits him, they are more dynamic now with foot play

Well, part of that has to do with injuries he has been dealing with. He can't hold up a full season anymore sadly.

But more than that has been Ljajic learning to finish. To a lesser extent Larrondo has shown promise, which also makes Toni redundant. The need for a static #9 was always semi-exaggerated if our guys who play the ball on the ground could finish, we are more dangerous this way.

Cuadrado ruined the game for Fio.

So I got home last night at 4am after a night out drinking with the guys. I managed to sleep in till the late late hour of 9am, cuz you know...my little girl thinks it's loads of fun covering me in a variety of her stuffed animals. So I'm up, four cups of coffee later I start planning my day. It's complex so bear with me. I was going to sit on the patio and get a bit of sun, then watch the Rangers beat the Caps (that never happened), and flip between that and the Dortmund/Bayern BL match. Then a small nap is scheduled. Wake up just before the Fiorentina/Roma match and make myself a sandwich, watch the game and then take another small nap. Wake up again, shower, go get some take out, come back and watch a flick on netflix, have some ice cream and call it an early night :)

    But no.

My pops in law decided that today was the day we were going to rip the roots out the ground from three old tree's we cut down in my yard a few weeks back.

    Today!

    No warning!

and he had the chain and pulley in hand, knocking on my back patio door just after I had used up whatever energy I had left to plan out my day. Missed all the games and two small power naps turned into a 4 hour coma.

So I guess what I'm asking is, how was the game?

Fio lacked a true center forward this game....had they had one they would of beat Roma easy as pie...also Cuadrado played really selfish today.

In Cuadrado's defense, I don't really blame him since Jovetic was doing nothing.

We need to be more clinical. Hopefully Rossi can be an improvement, besides that we need to sell one of Jovetic or Ljajic and use the money to bring in reinforcements. I love Toni but if he comes back it should be as a backup's backup, besides being fragile he's not skilled enough for this system. Larrondo shows promise but it's not enough.

Watched the highlights, so many near goals, frustrating. Saw the Cuadrado shot that looked like Aquilani flashed in front, just like a few weeks back - only no pass, errant shot.

Looked like Osvaldo was holding Gonzalo (?) on his shoulders, keeping him from jumping - anyone else see that?

Ljajic will miss the next two matches for insulting the ref. Rossi?

How did my boy, Wolski play?
I've watched him on his previous club, Legia. and he was a beast. I hope lack of game time and injuries didn't set him too far back. Do you guys think he will get any game time in the next two following games?

Is there an assist table for the club?

Such a fun team to watch this season.

As for Wolski, my stream died just after he came on the pitch, so I blamed him for that happening.

    :)
