Our subforum has been too quiet lately to necessitate individual match threads, imho. So...

I think we really need to go for all three points away to Parma this week. After that we are home to Juve and they are the one squad in Italy that I feel is heads and shoulders above us and will remain above us once our squad really begins to turn into a team.

Most of our pathetictude last year had more to do with our own problems and less to do with our competition being anything special. Juve, I felt, were the one glaring exception to that as they really bossed us home and away.

I agree with you we need to grab some points on the road. I think Parma is a winnable match. I would love to have a a total of 9 points when we have Juve at home. Lets face it Juve are the top right now and will very diffilcult to catch

Roncaglia has been uber-popular since he arrived. Wish I wasn't at work right now...

Fiorentina just looks much better than last year. The changes seem to be working so far.

The club needed a renovation for sure. It shows so far.

Looked great in the first half, very sloppy right now, I'm nervous.

Terrible, terrible loss. Why did they slow down in a 0-1 game? This was a must win match, I don't think we can come back from this.

Well that ending sucked. In the 89th min we get a penalty that can seal the win, but Jojo decides to be cute and puts the kick straight down the middle for an easy save, then Parma get a PK of their own (can't really blame Toni for the hand ball as it didn't look like he had any control of it) which they convert for the tie.

I really don't understand why people go for the cute, straight down the middle PK's now. You see them so often nowadays and so often they get saved. It's supposed to catch the GK off guard, but they're tried so often that they don't catch anyone off guard anymore. Very disappointing end to a match we should have walked away with 3 points from.

Fiore looked like one of the best Italian teams until the substitutions.

The started team from today can fight for a place in the UCL

Some here would have been OK with keeping the previous coach, Delio Rossi. Still think that way? Because I knew the change HAD to be made. Rossi stunk.

Vincenzo Montella has these guys playing tight, collective, ordered football. A giant leap. WAY better.

I'm a Delio Rossi fan and I'm hoping to be a Montella fan. I did think that Rossi definitely had to go, though, after the Ljajic fan. Hell, I would have liked to have seen what Sinisa could have done with this squad, tbh. Sinisa and Rossi both got raw deals, imho.
