Our goalkeeper coach says that Sportiello is ready to be the guy. He also said that Tata was already good when we got him but that he showed very little determination in getting any better. https://www.firenzeviola.it/news/lopez-neto-alla-juve-ci-rimasi-di-ma-su-tata-247417
I am liking the signing of Benassi . I think we are starting to see this team taking shape. We will be fine
Shirt Numbers 4 Milenkovic 5 Badelj 6 Sanchez 7 Zekhnini 8 Saponara 9 Kalinic 10 Eysseric 11 Hagi 13 Astori 14 Mati Fernandez 15 Maxi Olivera 17 Veretout 19 Cristoforo 20 Baez 21 Sottil 22 Cerofolini, 25 Chiesa 26 Ranieri 27 Schetino 30 Babacar 31 Vitor Hugo 32 Gori 40 Tomovic 51 Hristov 57 Sportiello 73 Meli 76 Bruno Gaspar 93 Rebic 97 Dragowski
Astori is likely to be the only guy playing who played this fixture (away to Inter) last season. 8 of last year's 11 are gone. Kalinic will likely not play as he is awaiting Milan to beg, steal or borrow the Yuan for him and Badelj will most likely miss it as he's still not ready physically.
Hate to whine here but why does Fiorentina always seem to star the season with a tough opponent and usually on the road
Our convocati... PORTIERI: Cerofolini, Dragowski, Sportiello DIFENSORI: Astori, Bruno Gaspar, Biraghi, Maxi Olivera, Milenkovic, Hristov, Pezzella, Tomovic, Hugo CENTROCAMPISTI: Badelj, Benassi, Cristoforo, Eysseric, Hagi, Sanchez, Veretout ATTACCANTI: Gil Dias, Khouma Babacar, Simeone, Zekhnini Everyone is there, as far as the new arrivals. Kalinic is not.
Saponara really missed his opportunity to be the guy this summer. I gotta assume he's behind several of the new arrivals even in Pioli's pecking order.
Sportiello Tomovic-----Hugo-----Astori-----Olivera Veretout-----Sanchez Benassi-----Eysseric-----Gil Dias Simeone
Was the PK legit? My stream went out right as the ref was pointing to the spot and I still haven't gotten it back so no replay yet.
Gil Dias has some quick feet both speed and dribbling wise. Simeone keeps dropping like a fly in the box but he's lively. Essey was fairly good as well and Veretout's not seen the ball much. Our defense is definitely our biggest weakness right now I also think that our boys got shell shocked after two quick goals but they came back into the match as the half progressed. Curious to see what Pioli has in store for the second half. I'm not even upset because I have no idea what to expect from this group so early in the campaign.
Yeah, I'm not going to go jump off a building one half into a 38-match season, especially with this much turnover. This was always going to be a trap match anyway because a) Inter suck and b) we're looking ahead to our friendly with real Madrid.
