Wanyama would be a nice pick up.

Brilliante - is that on loan?

Sorry, yes Brilliante would be on loan. The only time I saw him play was early in the season and he looked terrible. He needs some playing time for development.

Wanyama would be nice (though I think unrealistic) - we are trying to find a replacement for Badej who was supposed to be Pizzaros backup.

Brilliante definitely needs time. Empoli would be good for him.

Wanyama - I imagine that fee is over €15m, and he won't come in to be a back up either. He's a force in the midfield. Scores nice goals too.

Throwing Brillante into the fire the opening match away to Roma was a mistake. This summer you could see his potential, though.

Marin left and went to Anderlecht, not likely to miss him.
We should find a Neto replacement. And flog Ilicic, he's a flop. Bring in Gilardino on loan...

Marin always looked good for us, I thought. Not the first good player that Montella has no idea how to use.

I don't know about Gilardino, but Cuadrado is rumored to be off to Chelsea-they will meet his 35M release clause if they can offload Salah and Schurrle. Apparently it was surprising he was named in the squad for Atalanta, because he was supposed to watch the Chelsea-Liverpool game from the stands.

I'd take Schurrle and cash for Cuadrado.

He's going to Wolfsburg for 30m.

I find it hard to believe we'd be getting rid of quads this month. I think we desperately need him until the summer

I don't think we would have gotten rid of Marin if we were selling him. This summer, sure. Not now, though.

Honestly, though, I'm fine with Joaquin over on the right if a mega offer were to come in. Cuadrado's been so poor, though, that such an offer is not coming.

If they offer €35m, he's gone. I don't think his agent would be in London if they weren't close to a deal. The question is who do they reinforce with?

Joaquin, while I like the guy, doesn't have the pace in his game anymore. We'd have to use some of that 35m and get reinforcements.

Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella insists there is no chance Juan Cuadrado will be joining Chelsea. The Colombian has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge but Montella those reports are wide of the mark.

“I believe as of today there are no possibilities he will leave Fiorentina. He knows this, he knows that these situations get exaggerated,” said Montella.

“I’m not angry with the media, in this case I’m not referring to the media, but to football. All that is being said is just talk and nothing more. The player is not involved in all of this.”

I don't like the idea of Gilardino, unless its a very short term deal, but I like the idea of Gomez out the door (even if we can get back half of what we bought him for). Relief from his contract would give us much more financial flexibility.

Have to short term, he's 32. 3 Year deal - get me 12 goals a season. I'm happy.

Gilardino did his medical this morning and quoted saying "I'm very happy to be here"

Glad to have him. Seems just the news has lit a fire under Gomez's ass.

Maybe that's what Gomez needs, some competition in the striking department
