Massive game. Dembele is back in the squad.

This is the game for me

If Barca win this they win La Liga

I hate that all potential winners were in the ESL. A non ESL champion would be great

Sevilla is mathematically very much in it, but realistically not so much.

Tomorrow is a huge morning (well morning on the west coast of America) for 3 Barca teams: 6 a.m. Barca Women in CL semifinal first leg in Paris at PSG (who knocked off the long time holders Lyon). 7:15 Barca at Villarreal. 8 a.m. Barca B at Alcoyano in group stage of promotion playoffs. All are huge away games kicking off within 2 hours of each other. Barca's is the real must win in terms of taking La Liga, for Barca women a win would be nice, but a draw with away goals would also set them up well. For Barca B a win will help them stay in range of Ibiza in the top spot and ahead of the rest of the group of 6, Alcoyano is 5th place in the group so it is important to take all the points that they can.

That means ESL or no ESL, there is already a privileged group that will almost always win. Leicester was an exception, but they are also owned by a rich owner/group.

If we OR Atleti win every game the title is ours OR theirs. Real Madrid and Sevilla cannot say that.

Atleti have 73 points and 6 games left, highest ceiling at 91 points if they win all 6. 86.7 at current 2.28 points / game.
Barca have 68 and 7 games left, next highest ceiling at 89 points if we win all 7. 83.4 at current 2.19 / game.
Real have 71 but only 5 games left, 86 point ceiling. 81.8 projection at 2.15 / game.
Sevilla have 67 and 6 remaining, 85 point ceiling. 79.6 projection at 2.09 / game.

Of course Atleti and Barca play one another, so they both cannot win out.

I'm guessing when all is said and done, that none of these teams will win all their remaining games and La Liga will be won by about 86 points (really could be 84-88 but I doubt 2nd place is more than 85, so 86 would win it if I'm right there). At 86 Atleti could have a loss and a draw, Barca could only afford a single loss or a single draw. Time will tell, I'm just guessing.

Till our rivals (esp. Atleti) drop points, we still need to treat every game like a final, as winning all 7 is the only way we continue to control our own destiny.

If we drop another points, this season is pretty much battle of the chokers. Its almost like the top 4 has been trying to keep the league exciting on purpose till the last match.

Lineup is out and just like last game except Dest starts not Roberto:

    Ter Stegen
    Mingueza Pique Lenglet
    Dest Busquets Alba
    De Jong Pedri
    Messi Griezmann

Meanwhile in Paris Hermoso scored an early away goal, 0-1 for Barca Femeni.

Nice goal line clearance by Maria keeps it 1-1. But Barca Femini look weak defending set pieces.

WTF was that? FdJ right in on goal and backpasses to Griezmann who shanks the shot.

    Might have been offside anyway....

Had he put that closer to the near post, Asenjo had no chance. Unbelievable.

Good last 15 minutes of the half. Keep playing like that and this could turn into a spanking.
