For the folks who can't make the trip north, any plans of getting together and watching? As CSN and FSW aren't broadcasting this game I would imagine the locations are limited.
Both Summers and the Cap Lounge are good bets as they have the MLS shootout. I'll call Summers today and give them a heads up. K
I hate to ask, but anywhere in richmond? anyone have the shootout and willing to let me come over?? or know of a bar or something.
Just out of curiosity... It is advertised that MSG will be carrying the match. I get MSG on DirecTV. Will I be able to watch or is there some special shootout package blackout going on? Tim
i think it will be blacked out here. that is how it has been in the past. shootout, $49, can't beat it!
Tim, I have DirecTV as well. I don't have the Shootout however when DC was playing Chicago at home a couple weeks ago, the Metros were on MSG. I was flipping back and forth watching both. Based on that experience, I'm hoping we get the game in our living rooms without Shootout. Bill
Well, that was my logic...but the universal perspective that I have read is "go forth to a bar because of the shootout package" with no discussion of alternatives. Oh yeah, I'm too cheap for the shootout package. I just noticed the note above from red&black. That is an assumption, do you have any evidence or just a hunch? I thought the same thing but then did exactly as Bill the week before last. Cheers, Tim
my evidence is annecdotal, but last year i didn't buy the shootout and was blacked out on the msg united/scum match. i did however see other scum matches on msg. it would be nice, but my guess is they are still blacking out this year.
Man, this sucks. My first "official" bus trip and my boys aren't gonna be there. I'll give em hell for ya guys!
Re: DCU-Scum viewing I believe the Cap Lounge has the MLS shootout, I don't think the Exchange does. Call them http://www.soccer-nation.com http://www.theexchangesaloon.com K
Oh geez. I went down to the DMV to register my BMW 2000 323 CI that I recently bought at carmax a couple of days ago. I just found out that I have unpaid tickets in New York and that I was supposed to attend a hearing but I never received a notice (I just recently moved here from Cali). The problem now is I cannot step into New York or I will be arrested. So going to NY is out of the question to see the game. I really did not enjoy my experience at Summers but I probably have no other choice. Can someone invite me to their house to see the game? I'll bring beer and women.
take out your frustration on eric_d. begbie has a picture of him somewhere. he looks like he is missing some chromosomes.
I don't have a map with me right now, but is there a way to get to new jersey without having to go through NY?? Where exactly will the game be held??
I find that the NJ border with Wisconsin to be pretty lightly travelled, plus you save money on tolls.
Ladies and Gentlemen (and I use those terms loosely), here is a prime example of why cutting education funding is a BAD idea! DeezNutzz, please, please do yourself and us a favor and take these questions to a search engine such as Google.com or Yahoo.com. These could be answered simply with a quick check of a map.
See, I prefer the Virginian Expressway that takes you through Denver, Omaha, and scenic Cincinnati...
Its a sockpuppet. Too convienent that now he won't be on the bus to expose himself. And no one who is really from California calls it Cali. And I should know.
