From what I've seen from our boys the past 3 matches, from what I've seen from Jogi's tactics.......I think France handles us. If they start Griezman, we're going to get burned on the counter by Griezman and Valbuena. When we played with width and more direct attacking football in the 2nd half and ET, we had plenty of chances. I'm tired of playing our best RB at DM, our best CAM's at wing, and CB's at fullback. The whole team sucked in the first 45 mins, wasn't just him. I don't know if it was a case of taking an opponent too lightly or what it was exactly, but everyone struggled. Anyways France didn't impress in their match against an opponent of a similar or lesser quality than Algeria, tbh I think both teams made the mistake of thinking too far ahead about this match and didnt want to spend too much energy in their games today, both almost paid heavily for it. I expect something completely different from both teams on the 4th.
That will be some Independence Day! So Durm and Greußkreutz will be starting in the France game. What this team needs now is an injection of BVB! The Bayern platform for it is ready. Thank you Jogi! Götze will start along with Schürrle and Raumdeuter! Good game.
Having Hummels back will be critical versus France. He provides the vision and facilitation necessary to execute the forward passing lanes when playing the highline. You can see how awkward Merte looked when bringing up the ball. Hummels brings that calm presence and coverage across the backline. The quarter finals will be a tough match, we need to be sharp and bring our all.

This match is on July 4th. Last time we played on the 4th we lost.... ugh that one hurt. Hopefully this one will be different I expect France to be much tougher than Algeria
