Why should it hurt Inter? Vieri's past it. Look at his past 2 seasons. Look at his performance in Euro 2004, or even WC 2002.

Inter looks a bit naive. They must have agreed to cancel Vieri's contract and though 'surely we have granted his request and he dare not move to Milan'. But how wrong are they! Just read the press transcript on inter.it. Facchetti just stops short of slating Vieri's conduct in this matter. Or maybe he is just confident that Bobo will be a dud for Milan.

And also, Vieri to Milan makes it less likely for Gilardino to go to Milan. Better for Inter.

WC 2002??!!!?? Vieri was in the best form of his life at WC 2002. Italy were just unlucky to be eliminated.

Thank you for putting this up. The guy scores 4 WC goals and suddenly he played junk?

Oh well congrats Milan, Inter has not only handed you a high class stiker but also the Scudetto. Was canna not considered past it last year? Oh well here's to the Scudetto Run of 2007 ;)

I can't believe Inter payed him most of his final pay for the coming season and didn't stipulate that he NOT play in Italy this year. To go to an inter city revial is really kind of sticking it to the fans :(

In the derby he's going to get whistled every time he touches the ball.

Oh I must have mistaken it for Euro 2004. Sorry

    His best was WC 1998.

Seriously, look at his performances since Season 03-04... it's not worth the price. That proves that I didn't 'suddenly' think he's junk...

If inter sign gilardino thats great, but if they don't it doesn't really matter. If milan sign gilardino, vieri will be on the bench and he will definitely not get called to world cup. If that happens vieri will definitely regret it.

Did he have to sign with Milan?!!? He was being paid too much & clearly a surplus to our needs...it would have been sad to see him on the bench with his great past behind him & we let him go...& he signs for Milan?!!?

Anyway I will still 'follow' his games...hope he makes it to the WC squad...

Did he have to sign with Milan?!!?
