Welp, rumors were true. Vieira is off to Nice https://www.mancity.com/news/first-team/first-team-news/2018/june/patrick-vieira-nycfc-nice-leaving Really disappointed he left mid season. I think that shows how much he actually valued his time here. We are linked with another Manchester City guy. I'd prefer to bring in someone that we can build around long term. Not another guy who is going to bounce as soon as someone from abroad is interested.
When Vieira didn't go to Arsenal I thought we were safe. I figured that he had been given a promise by Man City that he'd succeed Pep, and that he'd stay here until Pep left Man City. Anyway, I don't think we can complain. We got much more out of Vieira than we could ever have expected from any European manager with no prior MLS experience. That said, I'd prefer the next manager to be an MLS guy.

Welp, so much for that. But, having been wrong about Vieira, I am willing to see what this manager can do before getting down on him.
