Blast vs Orlando 12/22 Wave vs Orlando 12/21 The games are now on Youtube from last weekend. They did not stream live last weekeend due to the problems (owner leaving, budget, etc) Orlando is currently having. Anyone know what it cost to stream a game live on Youtube? I thought it was free, once you had the right equipment. Maybe it was a lack of personnel. Any info?
Maybe they wanted to make sure people showed up instead of watching it on YouTube. That's why they got those 30 extra people to raise their attendance to 324.
This might mean nothing to nobody but me, but I was horrified to see Wave players participating in a league game wearing retired #5 (Peter Knezic) and #11 (Steve Morris). The Wave has six retired numbers, and about 70 unassigned numbers. Why are numbers 5 and 11 used... even for practice pinneys? I didn't watch the entire game, but both of those guys I've never heard of both were on the scoresheet (#5 Mathew Yang with a goal and #11 Dani Morillo with two assists). I don't get it. Sigh.... And the worst part? I want to complain to someone, but I don't even know who any more. The Wave has already blocked me on Twitter because I dare to want them to act like a professional sports organization.
Wow, I agree. That does suck. How about contacting Steve Morris? Maybe he can email someone and get a response.
And how about the performance of the Blast in that game? Poor all over the field. And I hate watching games that dont have the scoreboard on the screen the whole time. Dantas and Hoxie were disappointing, among others. On the flip side, Max Ferdinand was on another level.
