Great Video! [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbn3rOPmR9w"]YouTube- The World's Reaction to Landon Donovan's Game Winning Goal[/ame]
It's a great video, but isn't the guy calling it the "world's" reaction kind of not really true and also reinforcing stereotypes about our ethnocentricity?
Everyone that I have met online was watching that game. This video brought tears to my eyes. Beautiful. GO USA!
ha, love the guy sliding down the stairs. I know the feeling. You start running around the house, but the house just can't contain the joy.
That was freaking awesome. I wish I had taped my daughter and my reaction. I was freaking out crying and praying for a goal. I was yelling at the tv that we won the last game 3-2 and we already won this one but the refs were screwing us. Than the goal happened...I don't know how everyone in the bars was so calm during the build up we were screaming go go go Donovan go. I think I jumped from one side of the room to the other when we scored. Then I tried to run outside, then I realized the door was shut and my neighbors would think I was crazy. Then I screamed at them to hold the ball and then I screamed the ref was giving us the game after he called a foul for no reason on Algeria then I celebrated more.
Wow....that legit almost brought me to tears. Wow. My reaction was nearly identical to Some Guy in Arkansas' (I always watch the games at bars, but my car is in the shop and I couldn't make it out to one--I'll be in downtown Philly somewhere on Saturday), except I screamed "HOLY FXCKING CHRIST!!" at one point.
EVERYONE sais we have no passion for the game! lol we sure proved them wrong here though...sexiest thing i ever saw in my life!
No, sometimes the view counter on YouTube videos just freezes up, and doesn't update until later on. I doubt there was that many views in a 5 minute span. Still an awesome video nonetheless.
amazing vid, amazing scenes across the country... this picture i think sums up what happened in DC and across the country when donovan slotted it home:
Bleh minutes earlier I was so proud of myself for not having cried this world cup, then i watched this. The thing i love most is how it was a miss, followed by a goal. Seeing the reactions go from complete dismay, to absolute joy. I love everything about this. Even if USA doesnt make it any further, this is easily a world cup to remember.
I just saw Landon on TV saying he had spent all day watching all the reaction videos. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3HQNR1Q_i_U"]YouTube- Moment of GOOOOAAAAAL![/ame]
