Does anyone have any information of an ESPN MLS ExtraTime 2003 version? I can't seem to find any information on it. I have an XBOX and love the 2002 version and was hoping there was an updated version but can't find any info...

IF anybody has any info i'd greatly appreciate it...

Fifa 2003 is a great game, but whoever was ranking the MLS Team's players is an idiot. Out of I believe 100 Eddie Pope is a 42 and I think the worst player on DC. Ruiz was around 59, again one of the worst players on DC. Other low ranked players, Beasley, the whole New England Team (It has Tony Frias tied for being the best player on the team!), and many more.

if you play in the mls league in fifa 2003, you just have to accept the fact that the rosters are way out of date and the rankings/salaries are totally out of wack.

on the bright side i was able to sign roberto baggio for my metrostars team....

You never get a red card if you tackle the keeper in Fifa 2003. Ronaldo isn't pn Brazil's roster and there is no creation center. The gameplay itself is better, but in just about every other way Fifa 2002 is better.

I have FIFA 2003 for the PS2. It has its good points and (very) bad ones. The gameplay is better than any of FIFA's previous versions, but there are several annoying issues with this game.

I'm playing well enough (World Cup champion on Pro, Scottish Cup and League champion) for this not to be a sour grapes review, so here goes.

    1) EA chose to make the game more difficult not by making the CPU play harder, but by making your players more difficult to control. When you select a player, he immediately moves away from the ball. You will often not be able to select the player in the best position to make a tackle. It is a horrible way of increasing the difficulty. Your keeper will often charge too early, even when you're side by side with the dribbler as he nears your goal. Your keeper will also occasionally come out for the ball on corners without getting it. Those should be human errors, not autokeeper ones. Not enough cards against either side.

    2) No IGM (in-game management). If you want to change formation or go from defending to an all-out attack, you must pause the game and change from the Team Management menu. This alone drops the game into the Kiddie Arcade category.

    3) No player/kit/team creation/editing mode. I don't know how many teams are not up to date, but Brasil doesn't have Ronaldo, and Germany doesn't have Kahn. Real and Bayern, respectively, have both players, tho.

    4) No zoom or pan in Instant Replay.

    5) No choice of game time or conditions.

    6) No control over what kind of tournament (Round Robin Group/League) you get in Custom Tournament.

The only saving grace of this game is that it's new, and it keeps some gamers from whining that their league isn't represented. WE6 will come out in March. If you can only afford one game, that's the one to get.

My son wanted a PS2 or Xbox for his birthday. He loves to play soccer and football on the PC. I'm not sure exactly which versions he has right now.

Which way (Xbox or PS2) is best to go and why?

Go with PS2. Both Xbox and PS2 have EAs Fifa 2003, but World Tour Soccer 2003 (release next month) and World Soccer Winning Eleven (release in March) will be exclusive for PS2. I would guess if Sega gets around to releasing a MLS Themed soccer game then all formats would release it. Currenlty the only soccer game exclusive to XBox (that I know of ) is MLS 2002.

Brooklyn, WTS comes out in a couple weeks, so unless someone got an advanced version, no one has played it yet.
