It seems he joined TP-47 from Kemi Kings. Apologies if I missed a previous thread. Looks like he's from Ohio and a former RIASA player. https://www.tp47.com/joukkueet/1195...en-victor-davisin-kanssa-siirtyy-punavalkokon
Small update on Victor. The 2023 season in TP-47 didn't turn out too well and he left the club after about half the season if I remember correctly. You guys might remember me updating you about Americans playing for Boden in Sweden, but I've since moved to the border between Sweden and Finland, and I watched Victor play for TP-47. Personally I thought he did well when he did get to play, but I think the TP coach simply preferred local players over him. He ended up in Sweden during the 2024 season playing for Haparanda FF in div 4. Haparanda is the neighbouring city of Tornio (where TP-47 is from) so he was pretty much still in the same city the last year but in another country. Davis was the best player for Haparanda throughout the season and ended up scoring 17 goals. After the season I managed to help him get a trial with my hometown club Bodens BK FF before he went back to America. Although nothing is official, I think he will end up playing there for the upcoming season, meaning he'll move two steps up in Sweden from division 4 to division 2.
If you've been here long enough you know how much @Jedda has done for this community! Great to see your updates again.
Victors move to Boden has been delayed a bit because of his visa. He will be studying in Sweden from August or so, so he will not be allowed to play in Div 2 until his visa starts. However, Boden has received a spot in Div 4 for their reserve team/U19 team, which means he'll be able to come here earlier and play for them as the rules for Div 4 is a bit different.
Victor arrived in Boden about two weeks ago and today he finally got to make his debut in the Boden reserve team in div 4. The team lost 1-2 away to Alvik, but Victor scored the only goal for Boden in his debut.
Today it looks like Victor at least got his first goal at Boden in a 5-2 win vs Luleå SK. Wild 2nd half where the game was 0-0 at half time and Victor tied the game up to 1-1.
Davis keeps the streak going with yet another goal for the third game in a row when he scored the 2-1 goal in a 3-3 draw vs Älvsbyn.
I've been itching for a return to the gentler days of YA, when there were threads like "So-and-So Jr., whose last stop was an Illinois junior college, brought his goal tally for the season in Sweden's 9th division to 47, catching the eyes of several 7th-division clubs." Let's do this!
