It's crazy that he didn't move sooner and its crazy he hasn't really gotten a chance with the NT yet. There is an argument that in games where we are attacking and have all of the ball he would be a better choice then Barrios, and I love Barrios. It would be great to see him playing with James and/or Quintero because his ability to get attacking midfielders the ball in good areas is really good and something we really struggled with last cycle before we started using Barrios. Cantillo's skillset is really In demand, hopefully CQ recognizes and brings him in soon, he's a better fit for the single pivot then Lerma.

Brilliant sub appearance last week. Created a few opportunities from deep, which got him a start today in the Paulista.

He's in great form. Better form than Alzate...

He's a better player than Alzate for sure at this point but also plays a different position. Really Alzate has played a ton of different positions and Alzate is one for the future to play as an 8 most likely, but Cantillo should be getting called up yesterday for the NT.

I remember this guy was a part of Atletico Nacional's roster a long time ago, I think it was around 2013 or something. Clearly missed the boat with him

Despite the loss, Cantillo had the best rating for Corinthians today. He completed the most dribbles, completed the most passes, created the most chances, was fouled the most and won the most duels.

I really think that a smart club in Europe is going to make Cantillo's stay in Brazil short. It's a shame our league isn't scouted enough, but Cantillo's profile of a deep lying playmaker who can dribble and build from the back are gold these days.

it is scouted but our teams want crazy money when a euro team knocks them a Mexican, US, Argie or a Brazilian team knocks and price goes down to 1/3 what the euro team was asked for.

our teams need to sell for less but have a much higher future transfer fee

15% of what Porto will get for one of our guys will be much higher than what we can sell them for

Unless they are U20 or National then they won’t get big money. Thing is players need better agents. When Barrera was a free agent he couldn’t get a better team than Tigre’s to give him
An offer or he just took the first one offered. He then offered a 2nd teams offer!!! He has to be some special type of idiot or has the worst agent ever. Lucky he didn’t get sued

If the league was selling big fees it would attract better agents, its not necessarily the players fault. Agents follow money, the fact that the league doesn't get a ton of attention and the players aren't scouted to jump directly to Europe is a self fulfilling prophecy, the players don't get good agents because they Arne't in demand and they aren't in demand because for whatever reason the league isn't attracting direct transfers to Europe. There are agents making a bunch of money selling to smaller leagues, but also lots of leagues don't allow %ownerhips so that's not workable everywhere in Europe. Something needs to change for the league and players sake, because too much talent is sitting on the shelf.

Would be nice to have long passes like that served up to Duvan and Muriel on break aways.

Having Cantillo as an option when we need quick counters or when we need more play making from deep is great, provides a nice balance to Barrios and has a really good skillset which will come in handy. Hopefully he gets a good look soon.

We have a handful of new people who need to get some NT opportunities. The best part is, many of us here probably feel guys like Cantillo, Muñoz, Cuesta etc can probably jump right in and make an impact
