The camera angle on this MLS Restart is terrible. Old Shite Hart Lane. They are playing every match here, couldn’t do better?
Not if they were going to stay within a confined environment. They talked early about using Orlando's stadium but it would mean extra busing, extra personnell, etc.
It explains itself????? Tyler apparently said it during broadcast, because it’s true? Also have to account for the remote possibility that you haven’t seen Home Alone.
You got it! No familiarity with those names or that movie. But if that's all the reference was about then I am happy to live in ignorance.
And their record-tying Pen today against Villa was a total joke. Totally instigated by Bruno, who then stepped on the defender's planted ankle while doing a pirouette, and there's an argument it wasn't even in the box. Ridiculous. Even Peter Schmeichel tweeted it was bogus. And the fact that VAR reviewed and gave it is unfathomable.
United tie their own record for pens in a season with an atrocious decision. Paging @The Jitty Slitter EDIT: Nevermind. Beaten to the punch.
This stat also blows my mind as well.. 16.5% - Manchester United have been awarded 13 of the 79 penalties taken in this season's Premier League (16.5%) - the highest proportion of any side in a season in the competition's history. Gain. pic.twitter.com/uvuGzKjgoD— OptaJoe (@OptaJoe) July 9, 2020
For anyone that hasn't seen it yet, here's the "foul" in the "penalty area" by "AVFC" 1281316893744402437 is not a valid tweet id
It’s a joke there really is a tilt and this shit makes it more obvious there is a huge push to get them into the top 4
I am at the point where VAR has to be operated by non English officials. Var has been a total shit show in England, but the FA is a joke as well. Vardy should be suspended. There is no reason for him to not get a 1 match suspension at minimum especially if Nketiahs tackle was a red.
Ha! I'm WAY over 30 mate. Just never bothered to watch Home Alone... not my cup of tea. All I knew was that McCauley Caulkin was in it, right? Is that him in that photo you posted??
This is not even the most absurd tilt. That record is still held by SAF when no pen or red card was given against him for a year and a half
Remember back in the pre virus era (seems like 20 years ago) @yossarian made a post about a baffling decision where arse got a red but the opponent didn't for very similar foul How many times has that happened since...
It's really hard to explain the lack of consistency The Premier League has told BBC Match of the Day that incorrect penalty decisions were made by the VAR in all three of Thursday's games. Full story: https://t.co/d5dLYHNzN7 pic.twitter.com/32HoirsNqs— BBC Sport (@BBCSport) July 10, 2020
The quality of officiating and the obvious impact it has on the course of a season makes it really hard to continue to pour energy into being interested in the sport.
Yeah, but this is a bit of an aberration. Who was the Video Assistant Referee Thursday? Would happen to have been Mike Dean would it have?
i don't know if they still do this but there were discussions earlier in the season about how the same referee would be sitting for multiple matches as VAR. they need to change that. not that i am excusing their horrid performances but it should be tough to maintain focus for that long.
For lack of a better place to put this… If you like listening to Andrew on Arsecast, you might find today’s worth listening to. Not necessarily for the only semi-inspired chat with Amy Lawrence, but for Andrew’s great sense of humor which comes out quite strong in the first 2 minutes and last 2 minutes of the show. The opening had me literally laughing out loud! https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podca...-arsenal-podcasts/id281128135?i=1000483968675
