I think Man Utd will be very good this season. Next to us they are the most settled side. They will buy quality players. They may not get their first choice like Fernandes but they already have decent players and will buy big. They always do. The only thing that can hurt Man Utd in the league is if they are in multiple competitions after January. They will have to make a choice on certain players playing twice a week. My guess is they will be close to the top through November. December weeds out some clubs. January we see who is at the top and in touching distance. The quality through the first 12 or so clubs in the league
new manager affect has gone, they had one game a week, old man Fernandes had the season of his life their defence is weak, aged Bruno and Casemiro is gone, who will suffer the most with 2 games a week let’s see cunha in the winter time, sesko didn’t really play enough to show his potential but looks ok they need heavy investment, also teams will play vs them differently due to their form late season
Losing Casemiro is a blessing. He played way above his previous depleted form to get them into CL but him going is a good thing. Man Utd is not going to bring in someone who isn't quality. Too big of a club for anything else. How that player does remains to be seen but the player will come un with a rep.
The good thing is that the club recognises that everyone else is improving and we don't seem to be sitting on our hands.

No one should be shocked if Liverpool are good this season. Over the last several years when have they had back to back bad seasons? And by bad, I mean outside the top 3. They finished 5th this season and 5th in 2023. Finished top 3 otherwise last several years. This may be the most competitive title race over the last several years. I would not be surprised if Chelsea, both Man Utd clubs and Liverpool all end up within 8 to 10 points of each other. It maybe a season where low 80s wins the title because of how good the league is. Villa, Spurs, Newcastle, Sunderland, Bournemouth, Brighton will beat the aforementioned and others like Forest, Leeds, Palace, Brentford, Everton have and will take points of the top regularly.
Apparently has reached a verbal agreement with them. Its pretty smart of Alonso, Xhaka was good in the EPL last year and probably has another year or 2 in him at this level and since he knows Alonso's system and methods so well he won't need bedding in and will help the other Chelsea players get used to all the changes. Also people keep saying he is a manager in the making so he probably helps with onfield coaching and some leadership. That said he might not help the Chavs red card numbers with his reputation Wonder if there are any other Bayer players he is looking at since he likely switches Chelsea from a 4-3-3 to the 3-4-3 or 3-4-2-1 that Bayer used. And Xhaka also adds himself to the list of Arsenal players to end up in the shit part of London.
I would expect City, Liverpool and Man U *should* all still be in the title conversation by January but only City are the team I would be comfortable betting on it. Spurs *should* be top 8 but honestly who knows. Liverpools list still has a heap of issues and is wildly unbalanced, Spurs recruits won't matter if they are all injured which has been their main issues for the last 4 seasons, and Carrick hasn't ever at this level had to build a proper squad and rotate and with the EPL, UCL, FA and League Cups he could very well burn his players out. City have the squad and with Anderson they will be top 2 next season unless they have the injury issues they had 2 seasons ago.

The reason I don't think much will be made of it is because its bigger than football. They are owned by a government. That government will likely go the diplomatic route to the British government and after some backroom deal the UK government will quietly tell the FA to go gentle. That's my guess.
