89’ Oh no. Celtic go up 2-1. To win the title st the death. On a play that clearly looked offside. Are the officials completely owned by the big firm? Seems very sad & unjust. 6 mins of added time for Hearts to thwart this hatchet job?

Edit: I obviously didn’t see the play and replay clearly. Too many things going on at once this morning. :p The goal was legit… AS LONG as you consider the offside player to be non-interfering. ;) The really confusing thing was the blue line screenshot that the Scottish folks put up. WTF?

What did I miss in the freeze frame? What keeps him on?

The ball wasn't played to the striker who is offside in the still above.

It went to a different player, who first-touch crossed it to that striker who scored the go-ahead goal.

The flag went up but VAR overruled and said it was a goal.

Celtic score an empty net goal to end it 3-1.

    FT CEL 3-1 HEA

Gifting(?) Celtic the Championship on the very last day.

I’m still confused and dismayed by that non-offside call

I had missed the actual goal, turned it on to the VAR check and this freeze frame and I was confused!

Yeah, posting the freeze frame because it's so blatantly wrong.

But I also don't know they could decide the striker making the run, dragging the defender, was not involved in the play.

Heartbroken, no pun intended. It was the wrong decision for the goal. But Hearts wen there and played scared. All they did was hoot the ball long. Not much of a buildup the whole match.

    Still they didn't deserve this.

Seemed a likely mess of officiating to me. I’m no expert on SPL but I think there’s a decent body of thought that the scales are tipped towards big firm

Guys - Maeda is NEVER offside on a play like that. NEVER. Is the football world so desperate to rag on officiating and VAR that we're trying to invent reasons they "messed up"?

Hearts didn't want to take chances. They were too scared to mount a proper build up and paid the price. They were robbed but they could have scored a second had they been a bit more positive.
They have good skilled players who just kicked it long all game.

Lesson learned Arsenal. Go out there and beat Burnley.

Is there anyway both City and Chelsea can lose? I suppose a Chelsea FA Cup win hilariously leaves City, who's fans were banging on about a domestic treble weeks ago, with just the Carabao Cup.

But then that gives Chelsea a trophy they don't really deserve while they are so poor and is the FA Cup still get a European spot? Because Chelsea finishing 8th and missing out on Europe would be excellent.

Hearts really unlucky but then this match should have been different because the angles I saw last week didn't show a clear and conclusive handball.
Hopefully Hearts Moneyball again next season and get the win. Boring football league giants win again sadly.

HT in one of the most boring FA Cups ever, and people claim we are ruining the sport :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Also still can't believe people think James is better than Timber, James has spent most of the season injured and so far today has been a net positive for Man Cheaty.

Hey look, another goal where the scorer was offside when the ball was passed to the assister. Shock horror.

This certainly has been a game of football.

Not a good game, but it sums up BlueCo FCs season.

Disjointed, looking confused, no one looks like they really know what their role is, boring as sin.

The job is such a poisoned chalice. Easy for me to say, but surprised he couldn't say "no'.
