And then Villa back up 4-3! I take it back about EVE-LIV which as soon as I said it was lively turned into a slog with 3 players coming off with significant injuries. Right now it's 1-1 at 97' of 111'. :p

WHU draw, 2 points ahead of sp*rs for final relegation spot. And Wolves are officially relegated.

    * I think we inadvertently kept Pep at City. Many guessed he would leave the contract. Maybe not retire but leave City. He will likely end up with 2 trophies and if the league goes his way, which I am sure he thought unlikely a couple months ago, he's thinking "Arsenal are choking, LFC are a mess, why leave?"

    * Wasn't so long ago, there were quadruple talk and I was part of that talk. Incredibly, we could go from talk of a quadruple to zero trophies and City go from talk of zero trophies to a domestic treble.

    * The obvious, is we could have won that game. Even at a draw we were going for it. It was very unlikely we would win the game prior. We havent won at City for over a decade. Winning at City (and Anfield) is another level we have to reach.

    * Even if we win the title, Arteta has some work to do in the off season and some hard decisions. I'd say this even if we won the EPL/CL double. Unlikely but even if we did, we have some big decisions as a club. Maybe a sacred cow or two has to be sacrificed.

    * I don't much issue with the back line. The midfield and the attack needs sorting. We need to be able to win without Rice. We are running him into the ground the same as we did Saka a couple years ago. Both Odegaard and Eze aren't producing at a level a club who is close to winning the CL and EPL hopes should be. What I wouldn't give for a Fabregas clone.

I know we're not really in a place to be casting judgement on other teams but good lord Chelsea ********ing stinks right now. No league goals since March 4 and they looked like a regional-level side in the first half against Brighton.

Holy smokes. Forgot there was another Prem match today and just looked at the match stats so far. Chel$ki only have 2 shots with none on goal 70 minutes in, and I have no idea what formation they are playing with that lineup.

As others have said, them failing to qualify for Europe will wreck their financing model. Expect fire sales this summer.

Welbeck comes on as a late sub for Brighton and one-times a cross past a flat-footed Chel$ki defense to make it 3-0 in the first minute of AET.

Edit: just went Final. Brighton jump above Chel$ki into 6th. Based on current form and the teams behind them, Chel$ki could easily drop to 14th before end of season.

Also, didn’t realize the Chel$KI has “IFS.ai” as a new kit sponsor. Never heard of them so had to look them up. Below is the home page for ifs.ai…I have feeling that tag line won’t age well.

Whatever the stats on that match say, Chelsea were worse than that.

In their last 10 matches against top-flight opponents, they have 1 win, 1 draw, 8 losses, and a -15 GD.

Agreed. Just watched the highlights at the end of the match, and Brighton could/should have had a couple more.

Sanchez had a couple big saves and had a huge goal line clearance from Chelobah (I think) after a poor pass by Sanchez that was intercepted in the box by Brighton.

Sanchez might be the worst keeper in the league.

Just watched highlights. Danny has 13 goals in EPL so far. His career high. At age 35!

I know some of you disagree, but I think we might be in a slightly different place right now if he were still on our bench.

I also just caught Rosenior’s tunnel interview. Wow, it seems he has, in short order, lost the dressing room. He threw the players under the bus (rightly for all I know) and unless Chel$ki management develop some rare patience, he’ll be the next coach fired in short shift.

Never, ever should have been hired.

They need a proper drill sergeant and for management to leave him the ******** alone. Which isn’t going to happen, so long may their chaos reign.

Arteta loves buying Chelsea players, they will be looking to churn (as Jitty would say) in the summer but may have to sell even more than they want if they miss Europe.

You have to sign one Chelsea player, who would you take?

    Caicedo without hesitation.

If I can choose two, then also add Cucurella and stick him in the reserves for 5 years.

Caicedo on talent for sure, but his mentality scares me. His price would likely still be near or over 100M again as well.

a younger midfield player like Lavia or Estevao interests me more.
