I won't be suprised if Woltemade turns out to be better than both Gyok and Sesko

Utd will keep telling themselves that are only 1 win on top 4

But on the other hand we are 14 games in and they are still mid table.

At least it's not lower table but I guess it gets harder to argue that this is not their actual level.

There supporters are all over socials with the "well if we had won these games we drew, and drew the games we lost we would be top 2" as if EVERY other team that ever existed couldn't say it.

United just aren't that good and I won't be shocked if they give Wolves their first win.

I recall being teased on here for saying he is a good player and it would have been an alternative to Sesko if we couldn't get Sesko.

Bayern offered €60m for him IIRC

Obviously a lot of risk paying €75m for a guy with so few top level games.

Of course Utd gambled on a player with deteriorating data which may well turn out to be a colossal blunder

I love seeing Man Utd suffering. Spent my first years as a supporter many years ago with them as the dominant side.
People constantly remind us that we haven't won a title in 21 years, true .Not uncommon. Man Utd and Liverpool, went from dominant to wandering 40 years in the wilderness as well, ,metaphorically. Man Utd from '68 to '92, Liverpool from '90 to '20, both much longer than our current malaise.

Looking at early data (and assuming price is equal, which is a big assumption) I'd rather have Sesko. Woltemade shoots a little bit less from slightly better locations, Sesko does slightly more in possession, but Sesko plays on a team with a dysfunctional midfield.

So far he seems to be already better, at least judging from just a few highlights I’ve seen, and if you base that on scoring goals rather than other important aspects of play. ;)

On the other hand, if they lost the games they drew, they would be on 18 points, 15th in the table, after Fulham picked up 2 points for their win vs United.

There is so little data on Woltemade in the first place - everything is really based on his season at Stuttgart where he was 22 and got 12 goals. IIRC he has very few headed goals at all - yet is now is scoring them.

"Institutional Rot" is like mold in a home, it's very expensive to remove.

I think a lot of the data doesn't take into account better coaching.

Woltemade has 7 goals in 18 games this season, let’s not anoint him the second coming already.

He scored once in November and has 1 goal in his last 6 Prem appearances.

Against Luxembourg (2), Slovakia, and Northern Ireland.

UEFA qualifying goals should only count for half.

I knew nothing of Wolde before. But the guy seems pretty good. Why are people down on him? Does he have past failure baggage?

This show is the worst thing I have ever seen. An hour in and the only teams they have drawn are the 3 host nations. And they gave a peace price to a war criminal.

Honestly I don't know why people watch draws. Just wait til it's done and avoid the circus act. Especially if world-class propaganda or ass-kissing is a part of it.

The Bloom/Brighton fiasco squarely raises whether at least some EPL games are not competitive. See also the current fiasco in Turkey (yet again) as well as the US betting scandal.

It makes sense that what has been discovered in Turkey and Italy multiple times now, would also be happening in the EPL
