Agreed. Despite losing, I still think we have the better squad - it is deeper and is more balanced. The only thing about Liverpool that scares me (outside of their ridiculous attacking firepower) is that they still are getting maximum points despite not playing particularly well. It has been a couple of games now. They have another gear or two that they can shift up, but we do too. When we are ten games into the season, we will know a lot more.
He was at his Liverpool medical, but Palace didn’t get the replacement they wanted, so they pulled out of the deal.
Excellent! I must’ve heard that wrong about Geuhi. But It’s probably too much to hope for that Slot will have difficulties betting in new players and/or Developing a new system. Maybe they can just be dealt some rotten cards with injuries, like we have been lately. Otherwise…
Nearly 100% chance that Bayern is the first German club to take a huge fee from an Arab or American club
I think he is talking about PE coming into German clubs via the side door. Of course in the meantime Bayern will do nothing about a competitive landscape where they have 1billion a year revenue and every other club has less than half of that
How many clubs are doing this to skirt PSR/FFP regulations? I mean, some of it is out in the open, like Neymar being a "brand ambassador" for Qatar while playing for PSG. 1963180670810767577 is not a valid tweet id
We've known about this for a long time e.g how The Russian Genocidal Gangster bunged Hazard's agent 7m via a secret payment. Nothing happened about it. I assume it's why Ser Fergus made the comments he did at the time. Football is basically corrupt.
You are talking about the guy who was getting secret payments from the adidas CEO to his swiss bank accounts
apparently there is a huge (and growing) rift between Nuno and Edu at Forest. It’s at the point where Omari Hutchinson (the club’s most expensive signing) and Zinchenko weren’t registered for Europa Group stages. https://www.football365.com/news/op...lub-record-signing-forest-europa-league-squad
Isak is a game changer Liverpool are the presumptive favorites. They have the best attack in the league and the 2nd best defense. Although I think Chelsea will end up with a better goals against than they will eventually and maybe..maybe Newcastle. Conversely our attack isn't even 2nd best I think. I think Chelsea's attack is better. Palace looks better than us going forward, Man Utd isn't far off. Tottenham look better going forward.
Arsenal could've had them by the throat if they were willing to push. Newcastle, two goals (?) and a man down, took the game to them. Bournemouth, 2 goals down, pushed hard and got the game level. Yeah, no. Liverpool's defense is not rock-solid; perhaps if they had gotten Guehi you could say that but, especially in Europe, Liverpool could be there to be had.
