These teams are both awful. Maybe they should make the EL Champ -> CL berth contingent on finishing in the top half of your domestic league.
Forgot this was meant to be a prestigious title, for the most part it looked like when two shit prem teams have a preseason match in Asia.
If Vicario is still the Tottenham GK next season, they won’t finish higher than 10th. Can’t have a keeper this bad in the air in the Premier League.
No surprise those two teams are in 16th and 17th place in the PL. What an awful match. I am pretty sure they will not reach 500 passes combined by the end of 90 min.
That would’ve been great, but it’s also great to see United with just no aura whatsoever. Last gasp effort in a European final is Harry Maguire at center forward? What an unserious club.
Ugh. I guess we're about to hear a whole lot of clucking cockerels in Nath London. After a result chock full of narratives, some of which quite ironic p.s. I didn't watch a second of it. Just looked at the stats to get some idea of how the game was played.
I am pleased those United mugs, Maguire/Fernandez/Shaw/Casemiro etc....will not lift any trophy. I can't stand that club.....I dont carer that Spuds won it...they won't go anywhere anyway with that team.
It would've been one thing if this was the Champions League final, but this? Idk, more power to them. Better the team with the inferiority complex than the one with a wildly misplaced superiority complex.
My lens is the Spuds fans. Until we win a major European trophy, they will not cease to remind us that they have. Even if circumstances were not the most convincing, which will willfully and expectedly get glossed over. I can just picture it now, when we have a NLD in the UCL group stage next season. Sigh...
I do not care that Spurs won. United would a bothered me because they could short cut out of PSR hell. Spurs are a nothing club.
How many Tottenham fans do you even talk to? I feel like unless you’re in North London, they’re not really relevant.
That's a pretty silly comment. It doesn't matter that I only have a few Spuds fans that I talk directly to, or that I don't live in London. I am deeply exposed to English football culture for decades, and hear them through myriad media sources. Just like we all have heard annoying Pool or Yanited fans over the years... and may have some built up enmity towards them Trust me, we'll hear them, if only through the TV while they're singing their newly minted snide chant.
It’s not silly at all. In fact a lot of in London Arsenal fans are meh at the whole thing, from what I am reading. Your post feels very try hard, tbh.
Ange-ball while trying to compete in the CL and PL, so many injuries, they will run out of players by the first international break.
The response to any “Major European Trophy” claims is to remind them of their 20 plus league losses this season.
