The hill I'm willing to die on is that 99% of restaurant steak is mediocre and steakhouses are a scam. Anyone who knows their way around a kitchen at all can make a better steak at home for 1/4 the price.
The key to a good steak is to salt the hell out of it 24 hours before you are going to cook it, put it in the fridge obviously.
Also take it out of the fridge a little bit before you cook it. Hilarious how many people I know ask how I get my kangaroo cooked so well, its because I take it out of the fridge for about 6-8mins before cooking because its a weird cut of meat and you have to do that.
That too! dry brine chicken breasts to make them not so dry and crappy. Even for like an hour or two. With any meat, use a thermometer, my rec is Thermapen, take the guess work out of it. .
This is true of the majority of restaurants unfortunately and has become a thing with my foodie friends. Inevitably almost everywhere you go ends up being disappointing the higher your skill level gets.

Growing up in the midwest, my grandparents raised cattle. We always had a freezer full of meat in our basement and my dad would cook steaks on the grill all summer so I've never considered a steakhouse to be special in any way.
I'm just north of there. Would have been fun to meet up. But when I'm in ATL it's also a whirlwind for me, so I know the feeling.

Two thoughts: 1) Is Generative AI good enough to produce videos like this? If not, seems like it's very close to being able to. And so, the world we are careening towards may make it impossible to trust "evidence" like this, either within a specific legal system or within society in general. 2) Assuming this is true-fact evidence, David Coote is very stupid.
