Dropping weight to make you more aerodynamic while they go and load up heavy, its a bold strategy Cotton lets see if it pays off.

He was our Frenchman, was our number nine,
He played for Arsenal in the red and white,
Olympic Captain is what he does now,
And he goes by the name of Lacazette!!!

Interesting game so far. FRA 1-1 ESP. France's opening goal was completely due to mistakes by defender & GK, so it's good to see Spain being able to equalize on merit.

Spain reacted to that initial setback about as well as you could hope for. They've scored 3 unanswered and now lead 3-1 at 35'. They showed Wenger's reaction to the last brilliant FK by Baena.

Drama in Paris indeed. At the stroke of 90' France is awarded a PK (VAR) which allowed Mateta* to equalize 3-3 and send the game to ET. If someone doesn't score a game winner in the 4-5 mins of regulation added time.

*Mateta is wearing #14 which seems fitting because he just gave his coach, perhaps the most famous #14, a sort of get-out-of-jail-free card?

    FT FRA 3-5 ESP

The star in ET was Sergio Camello. An absolutely sublime chip of the keeper at 100’ was the game winner, and then at 120’ he put the exclamation point on the result.

Spain’s dwarf keeper made up for that horrific effort on goal 1 with a throw schmeichel would be proud of

That throw assist was absolute insanity, I would imaging Arteta saw that and might have the scouts keep an eye on him.

Great goal for Bruno Fernandes, be a real shame if he happened to be offside...

United score on a counter (standard) and City knick a late equaliser.

Game goes to pens, Onana did to Haaland what he did during our preseason game where he stands off to the side and suggests a player aims for that side of the goal, Haaland scores in the opposite direction then walks away laughing.

Anyway, one lengthy penalty shootout later and a miss from Evans who looked like he was trying to kick a conversion and Man City are Community Shield winners.

You’re right. As a Warriors fan I’m not surprised at all, that he got hot when France looked like they might pull off an upset.

The double-contested 3 from a mile out to stick the knife in them. Unreal.

US will still be huge favorites playing in the Intuit Dome in '28, France and Canada should improve, it will be tougher assuming Steph, LeBron and KD are done. Some talk that Tatum and Brown may be reluctant to participate after their snubs (Tatum DNP's and Brown not in the team). They could be the leaders on that team with Ant, Haliburton, Brunson, Booker, Bam, Paolo, Chet. Zion if he stays in shape. Cooper Flagg if he really is a phenom.

Interesting. Would've been even more interesting if they listed the predicted points each team would finish on. I.e. the gap between us and Citeh.
