VfB, VfL, what do they stand for?

    I was wondering what VfB and VfL stand for in German. Also what is the translation in English.

    VfL=Verein für leibesübungen (Club for Sports, Leibesübung is a really old word that sort of means sport) [Wolfsburg, Bochum]
    FC=Fußballclub (Soccer Club) [Bayern München, Rostock, Schalke, Köln, Kaiserslautern]
    BV=Ballspiel Verein (Club for games with balls ;-) ) [Dortmund]
    SV=Sportverein [Bremen, Hamburg, Hannover]
    SC=Sportclub [Freiburg, Berlin]
    TSV=Turn und Sport Verein (Club for indoor track and other sports) [1860 München]
