VfB Stuttgart: 2025/26 Season Second Half - Rückrunde Discussion

Chema starting instead of Stiller.

 

The announcers are talking about a slight push from Mittlestädt as though it should have been a penalty, but virtually nothing about yet another obvious handball on the other end. So frustrating.

 

Wow, what a set of passes, Fuhrich to Leweling to Demirovic, 1-0.

 

Demirović is such a mystery to me. He can be the Invisible Man for long stretches, and then all of a sudden boom, he's right there.

And that's the half. Köln grew into it a bit as things developed and had the better of it the last 10 minutes or so.

 

Halftime 1-0. Fantastic atmosphere in the Stuttgart stadium. Great crowd support. Who wouldn't want to play in such a place?

 

That's one of the things I love most about us.

 

And a defensive blunder leads to the tying goal for Cologne, 1-1.

 

I went outside to get the mail and missed the 2-1 goal. But that third one locks up the points for sure.

Really good win. Credit to Köln for a good battle, especially on the road in such tough conditions. They made us earn it.

Ridiculous turn of events. That was one of the weakest penalties I've ever seen. Cost us a goal and then gifted them one.

1. FC Heidenheim 3:3 VfB Stuttgart in full time. What a ridiculous draw. I'm not one to whine about the refs, but that was some bizarre officiating out there today.
