I'm sorry to see him go, but it's better for VfB to get something for him, and it's better for him to go somewhere he'll get playing time.
My sentiments exactly. I really, really liked what he brought to the pitch. But he wasn't going to get minutes, so it's better for him to be somewhere else, and better for us. I just hope he doesn't make us pay for it next time we face Mainz.

It's still the Hinrunde for one more match after this one! The Bundesliga has screwed around their schedules with so many extra games that the first-half league games don't all fit before the Winter break. And even the Winter break is not as long as it used to be.

Leverkusen showed enough life in the second half to get three extra minutes. But they were never in this one. We got everything right today.
Leweling MOTM, and not just for the goals. He absolutely shredded Leverkusen in the first half. They looked like they were chasing a ghost. Truth is, we were in a different gear from the kick. Whether they looked better in the second half because we downshifted or they found themselves a little bit, or a combination of both, doesn't much matter to me. We really handed it to them today. Man, this feels good. It's been a long time coming.
