I saw the replay of that, and it was indeed harsh. I hope that the yellow is reversed on appeal, if there is an appeal.
Wow, good thing I missed this match. I didn't realize that VfB had lost five in a row at home. That has to chance, obviously. Europe is highly in doubt which means the club is less attractive to new players who want some UEFA competition.
Deniz is back in the XI. Here we go! I have some stuff to do today so I won't be as dialed in as usual, but I'll be back later to discuss the match.
What an absolutely insane match. Won't spoil it in case you watch on replay, but that was remarkable.
Spoiler (Move your mouse to reveal the content) Spoiler (open) Spoiler (close) The defense is not nearly good enough. That has to be addressed in the off season.
Wow! Barn burner match based upon the scoreline. I had to bring my wife back from the hospital so missed this one LIVE, will take a look at the replay. Don't worry about spoiler alert, I know the scoreline. And all of the goals were in the first half! That will make it easy for the replay.
Hope all is well, @Teak! It was a wild one. Our lads could easily have folded in the first 20 minutes, but we didn't. The fact we pulled it together and battled so hard and so well tells me we're not in as bad a shape as our record indicates. Just too many injuries this campaign.
Yes, it was a simple surgery and all is well. I got to see the replay. Wow! What a first half. Great value in that, 8 goals and several long range rockets. VfB will only see Europe through the cup final; I doubt that they will move up the standings in the final weeks.
Yeah, we might claw our way a couple spots up the table, but that's about it. This campaign is something of a bust in that regard. But we should take care of business against Arminia Bielefeld and see Europa League next year. And we have a great foundation to build on. I'm calling this campaign a learning experience. Glad all is okay.
As luck would have it, VfB's match today (Friday) conflicts with Feyenoord's match. I will be watching the Feyenoord match live and checking in occasionally on VfB's home match with Heidenheim.
I was about to tuck in and watch but something has come up. So, it's a replay for me. Hate missing it live, but alas, real life has reared its ugly head.
I was watching the Gamecast on ESPN while running around. I told my buddy exactly how it would go. And that's how it went. Grrr.
The sharks are circling for Angelo Stiller. Arsenal and Barcelona are the two in the lead and each could trigger his €36.5m release clause. Bayern Munich are pissed because he used to be on their books, and now they are loaded in midfield and, thus, cannot justify buying another one.
Today's Starting XI. I have massive schedule congestion today, so I'll have to check the recap on this one.
And then I fell asleep and woke up when Demirovic scored to make it 4-0. VfB break the 6-match home loss streak with a fine 4-0 win over Augsburg.
I was following along on Fotmob. My plan was to helicopter in late in the match, but after the red card I didn't bother. I hope Angelo is okay. He had to come off after that foul.
